While watching some of my old home videos the other day I came across some old footage of Dazzeland and the Jazz Junction Roller Coaster! I used to love this place :(. Enjoy! [youtube]<object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.c...

I wonder if the orangey bits are supposed to be some sort of copper material similar to the black building on KWS with the copper stripe up the side.. That would look awesome IMO.

Re: Help for Alpine's sub-contractors?
I know it's bloody frustrating. My dad works in the construction industry and Alpine owes us $130,000 which is supposed to be our entire year's profit. I really don't know if we're going to see any of it.

Re: SouthBank- Torrens
Why does everyone want the Festival Centre and Hyatt Regency demolished!? All the Festival Centre needs is a nice big refusbishment. I have so many memories of performing there and I wouldn't be able to imagine Adelaide without it. Also the Hyatt. Why would we remove one of our tallest towers that d...

It was awesome to meet you Norm and you other guys . What a fantastic display that was! I'm looking forward to seeing it every night when I'm in town. The perfect thing to brighten up those dark, depressing late uni nights

Re: SA number plates to change from Wednesday
Yea I've always loved the design of the WA plate. The new South Australian ones look like absolute shithouse in comparison. Could't they have come up with something a little more creative? Instead they're even more dull than our current ones.

'Also, a new range of ' Japanese' style number plates designed specifically for Japanese cars will soon be released. A slimline style, Jap plate will allow connoisseurs of Japanese vehicles to add a distinctly SA flavour to their vehicle while maintaining the original look and feel.' Why do the Euro...

Re: SA number plates to change from Wednesday
Damn Europlates! What about the JapPlates? We aren't worthy of the South Australian crest are we? Because we don't drive overpriced and unreliable cars dressed up with leather, wood and chrome so as to make them look expensive?
I suddenly feel discriminated against.

I really don't like it when people say things like this: And regardless of the actual design, my other question to the knockers - what have you ever actually created or done in your life? You're basically saying we should just shut up and accept whatever is given to us even if it's of poor quality j...

It's blatently obvious what Ignite is using as a design inspiration for their architecture. Could they have possibly made it a little more obvious? Chancery in Auckland Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills I was thinking more of The Como Centre in Melbourne, done about 20 years ago, from memory ... http://ww...

So happy right now!! Finally this thing has been approved! Go have a cry Cr. Moron. Architectural style aside, think this will all boil down to the quality of the buildings and finishes. This may very well be an outstanding development for Adelaide but also could potentially turn out cheap and nasty...

Fantastic job UrbanSG!! Well done. Looks like you spend a lot of effort putting it together. Love the music. I especially like the last scene. Re: $35m for exhibition hall
You'd rather have a old run down crumbling building rather than a modern functional exhibition space which is what the showgrounds are for? Not me :D Not at all. Of course the hall had to go, it was crumbling to pieces. I would've liked them to build a new modern building which had a similar grand ...
