[COM] Re: Festival Plaza Tower 1 | 115m | 27 Levels | Office

On another note re this precinct....those gum trees in front of the festival centre!!?? Can anyone imagine large eucalypts in front of the Sydney opera house? Trees in the park that give year round shade? The horror! Exactly. I often see people sitting under them. Much better than barren grass.

Anything is better than the old run down pub that is there. Disappointing this is not a lot higher given the location. Could be 120M plus “Run down pub” aka one of the most vibrant and well frequented pubs in Adelaide. By your logic Melbourne isn’t a great city because it has “run down” buildings i...

Obviously the demand for student accommodation is there so it’s a shame the Twin Street proposal doesn’t seem to be going anywhere.

Oh please, block out the views? Get a grip Here's the view.. image_2024-04-17_194213507.png What would it block out? Part of the western side of Adelaide Oval? A bit of the plaza/festival centre? Some trees in the distance? What a great loss. Maybe we should level everything to the west along North...

Article here about the difficulty in converting old office space into apartments. Nothing really that new, but does explain a bit why it's so difficult and often doesn't stack up economically: https://www.abc.net.au/news/2024-04-13/ ... /103686714

[COM] Re: Festival Plaza Incl. 115m Tower | $800 million

Re height / not mentioned to be the tallest; This will stand at 149m, while the proposed Freemasons tower will stand at 183m anyway. Obviously that depends on if / when either are built and in what final form anyway. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Inasmuch as the Keystone Tower is counting on A...

Nick Champion spruiking the new tower on ABC Adelaide breakfast radio was asked if it could interfere with the airport flight path: "It won't be a problem because there are taller buildings in the rest of the CBD obviously".
He’s painfully incompetent :wallbash:

Can i block abc too? Or do i need admin rights? You can only 'ignore' a user not 'block'. You still see every time they post but you can't read it (unless someone quotes it). That last part is why I think it's good to remind all to not feed the trolls. This part. Ignore them and they'll get bored.
