[U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway

Back on track, I heard a strong rumour from a well placed source on the weekend that the less than 15 year old South Rd tram bridge needs to be pulled down and replaced, because the engineers can't figure out a way to make the pylons and the passanger entrances safely integrate into the finish secti...

Sydney is the city of the rubber stamp, where construction and gambling firms alike are afforded the opportunity to audit themselves and confirm they've done nothing wrong

Re: Merger of the Universities of Adelaide and South Australia

I for one am shocked to learn that the biggest winner out of all this will be the developers that the government are flogging off "excess" Uni land in Mawson Lakes and Magill to, utterly shocked

There's a young couple I'm friends with who had a combined income of $200kpa pre-tax and they couldn't afford to buy in the CBD 2 years ago, let alone now

[SWP] Re: Lot 14 (Old RAH Site)

I'm trying to figure out what they're gunning so hard to use the site for instead, because switching back to the original Contemporary plans doesn't seem like something the Labor Right, Liberal Lite state government of today would be interested in either.

Re: News & Discussion: General CBD Development

Great to see this building being refurbished at this landmark location. I just wish it was actual apartments for sale rather than more serviced apartments. True, but on the other hand there's no such thing as a modern and affordable CBD apartment these days, whereas every new hotel room/serviced ap...

Is there any way to improve the O-Bahn that doesn't involve turning it into a heavy rail?
Sure, light rail with enough units to keep the frequency up, and make all the park and rides house a bus interchange as well.

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

The correct answer is to remove all the heavy rail stations (a silly 8 of them) between Port Adelaide and Bowden, and run light rail up Port Rd to Port Adelaide that also replaces Grange with light rail. That way the inner suburbs get their close stations with hop on hop off that reach the city in t...

Does hot desking imply their will be a hybrid setup, partly in the office and partly working from home? This is often what it implies, yes. Thanks, I thought that was the case. And holy shit my spelling & grammar was atrocious yesterday. I was just curious, as some corporates and councils/gover...

Well, at least it appears they are making somewhat of an effort. But those white planter cylinders? Come on guys....looks like something from some cheap renno show. This a premier location. Good to see some irrigation works, but lets hope the ACC learns how to use a corer in these high traffic area...

A shame that it wasn't a few extra levels so it could fit all of Services Australia in, but a fantastic looking building nevertheless.
They already did build it bigger than they needed, it just turned out they woefully underestimated how much they'd need.

[U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway

There's no denying that the updated renders and videos are a bit embellished, but I can't disagree the changes are improvements over the original design. The Port Road southbound exit traffic light queue occasionally extends down the ramp. I can't imagine that there is much less traffic coming from...

This site is being sold and will hit the market soon. Hopefully snapped up by someone who will actually realise its potential. How do you define potential? For me, I can't think of a worse place to live in the city centre. I mean, anything other than another concrete multistory car park has to be a...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines

I've flown on that flight in both directions, was a good experience.

Qatar itself on the other hand was a pretty but vile place, and I do not recommend ever going there. If you have to go to the middle east, pick Dubai or Abu Dhabi first.
