Re: News & Discussion: Trams
It also reported David Pisoni as banging on about the North Terrace "right turn". I thought that even the Liberals, in government, buried that idea. It's stupid. When in government, I'm sure they were informed of that by all and sundry. While it's possible, physically, traffic already ban...

The entire building is already local heritage listed, they're pushing for the entire building to move up to state heritage listed. They set a new record for public submissions, so we'll see how long it takes to go through it all

The South Australian Heritage Council has provisionally entered the Crown and Anchor Hotel (Grenfell Street, Adelaide), in the South Australian Heritage Register and is seeking submissions. Anyone may make a submission on the form, which can be found here: https://www.environment.sa.gov.au/topics/he...

Not a strong rumour, it’s actually happening. They need to widen the road corridor beneath the overpass to accomodate the massive corridor for the motorway ramps and tunnel portal. You can see the sheer scale on the interactive T2D map. The Marion/Cross Road overpass is going to be built at the sam...

Back on track, I heard a strong rumour from a well placed source on the weekend that the less than 15 year old South Rd tram bridge needs to be pulled down and replaced, because the engineers can't figure out a way to make the pylons and the passanger entrances safely integrate into the finish secti...

I for one am shocked to learn that the biggest winner out of all this will be the developers that the government are flogging off "excess" Uni land in Mawson Lakes and Magill to, utterly shocked

I'm trying to figure out what they're gunning so hard to use the site for instead, because switching back to the original Contemporary plans doesn't seem like something the Labor Right, Liberal Lite state government of today would be interested in either.

Great to see this building being refurbished at this landmark location. I just wish it was actual apartments for sale rather than more serviced apartments. True, but on the other hand there's no such thing as a modern and affordable CBD apartment these days, whereas every new hotel room/serviced ap...

Sure, light rail with enough units to keep the frequency up, and make all the park and rides house a bus interchange as well.RetroGamer87 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 12, 2023 12:33 amIs there any way to improve the O-Bahn that doesn't involve turning it into a heavy rail?

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains
The correct answer is to remove all the heavy rail stations (a silly 8 of them) between Port Adelaide and Bowden, and run light rail up Port Rd to Port Adelaide that also replaces Grange with light rail. That way the inner suburbs get their close stations with hop on hop off that reach the city in t...
