lendlease are in eci. while that (and their capability) makes it highly likely they will proceed to deliver it, they haven't been selected. high profile project with probity all over it.

Proceeding to tender is a pretty good indicator the developer intends to proceed with construction and that they believe they have sufficient sales and financing. I was thinking this too. Only (recent) projects I can recall going to tender and not (yet) being built are the student tower on Twin Str...

the builder on this is ed alarcon, he's ex-hindmarsh and knows what he is doing. ij projects (yes the same company, website out of date) are providing project management services.

hutchies building this and trade pricing at the moment. looks a goer, august could be realistic. nice development.

Now tendering - Multiplex, Lendlease, Hansen Yuncken, and Hindmarsh. Interesting mix. Multis and LL would have to be favourites with this client.

One is the builder who built stage 1 but the developers weren't exactly 100 per cent happy with

it's hutchies. and if you talk to hindmarsh about the developer, the feeling is mutual!

Someone asked on Facebook yesterday who the builder was, and whoever is running the page replied that Watpac would be. Still no development application though... all a bit strange ?

Watpac built the developer's first project in Grote St and have negotiated their spot for this one.

This is the next stage of the Flinders St Apartment builds. Currently there are three recent apartment buildings with the timber slats etc, with an empty (now piling) parcel next door

Good to know. They're supposed to open next year, so presumably it will be quick to rise.
