Re: [PRO] 76 South Tce | 12 levels | Mixed Use
Not sure what it would be like to live in, but I love the look of this tbh. Reminds me of phoenix apartments in Melbourne. Personally I don't really care for natural light in the main bedroom, as long as it's well lit in the living space and home office.

The original designs with more glass looked so much better. This just looks like a typical crusty Adelaide building, not horrible but not pretty.

Re: Deregulation of Shop Trading Hours
It is such a non issue that is entirely beatened up. There is a restriction on large stores so they can only open 12am-9pm mon-fri, 12am-5pm sat and 9am-5pm sun. Only Coles kurralta park in all of Adelaide is open for those hours. Every other supermarket has chosen to open for less hours than allow...

Re: Deregulation of Shop Trading Hours
Honestly, I support full retail deregulation within the CBD, but I think the issue is overbaked. Shops in the city can open till 9pm on weekdays and most don't. Some years ago Rundle Mall pushed staying open till 7pm Mon-Thurs and there was no strong desire from the retailers to continue it outside...

Re: Deregulation of Shop Trading Hours
I hear the "what about the IGAs" argument so much but when I visit other states I see plenty of IGAs and independent supermarkets. At this point I think the real winner of the regulations is OTR which holds an almost monopoly on basic supermarket items after hours. It's an embarrassment wh...

Re: Deregulation of Shop Trading Hours
Yep, it's embarrassing seeing Rundle Mall close up at 5pm on weekends on a warm summer evening when the precinct is still packed with shoppers. The move to open shops at 9am on Sundays is a step in the right direction, albeit a very small one. Honestly it feels like the small change has ruined our ...

Is this the first building in SA using curved glazing? Iirc the sky city building uses thinner flat glass for the curves which this KW building doesn't seem to have done.

Re: News & Discussion: Low/Mid-Rise CBD Development
Proposal for the vacant block at 76 South Tce: "Construct ten level mixed use building comprising of nine apartments and office at ground level." South Tce is really getting a nice level of density now, will be good to see East Tce follow suit. Still not really there though. I had conside...

Re: News & Discussion: Laneway & Streetscape Projects
Moonta St, Gawler Pl connecting to Rundle Mall, and Bank street have the same design as this one with the road at the same height. Have not felt that any of those were unsafe, much the opposite really. Moonta St is a pedestrian mall with no traffic, Gawler place North is a dead end with no traffic....
