[COM] Re: #U/C: 102-120 Wakefield St | 47m | 11lvls | Office

Without knowing anything to do with this job, that apprears to be a 4 lift core box judging by its size. If that is the case then that is far larger than is reqd for a car park which would generally be served by two lifts, and leads one to think the office componenent is indeed going ahead! :applause:

Re: #PRO : Dry Creek Residential Development 20,000 Residents

20,000 people in 10,000 dwellings does not sound like the medium-high density living of the future. In an area three times the size of the CBD then surely they could fit more people than that. Its not the density, its the fact that the couples won't be able to afford children with the insane mortga...

Re: Adelaide Airport & Airline News

Is anyone able to inform me what Adelaide Airport Ltd intends doing with the soon to be vacant site of the old terminal?
I remember hearing something about a possible bus terminal or some such thing but haven't heard any thing of late.

Sorry to dampen enthhusiasm on this one but I can confirm that the builder HY, the developer Hills andthe potential JV partner Walker group have ALL closed their books on this one at least for the immediate future! So nothing anytime soon and another vacant block to be turned into a car park, one w...

Re: [] CBD Development: Low/Mid-Rise

I think that "Space" appartments looks to have joined the list of doubtful starters. Their sales office on Franklin St has not progressed passed unfinished blueboard and site fencing in months. I fear that the CBD is going to become very quiet for quite a while after the current crop are d...

[COM] Re: #U/C: 374-400 King William St | 47m | 11lvls | Office

This method of positioning a crane in the centre of a building is quite a common one. Very common in high density areas where there is minimal room around a site to place a tower crane. Once the crane is no longer required for use they remove it from the top with use of a mobile crane or a second to...

Re: Pandas coming to Adelaide!

The panda offspring (should they have any) remain under the ownership of the Chinese Government unfortunately. I guess with only around 500 in captivity they play a very persuading chip in the game of politics. But a great result for the zoo, congrats to them That's unfortunate but understandable. ...

Re: Pandas coming to Adelaide!

This is an interesting development. I can imagine all those tourists and money spent here. At least something positive out of APEC. One question: if they have offspring do we get to keep them? Cheers The panda offspring (should they have any) remain under the ownership of the Chinese Government unf...

Re: Index of Adelaide Projects (As of 25 August 2007)

Question for you knowledgable punters. I remember reading about an appartment complex proposed for the Holy Trinity Church carpark site on Morphett ST yet cant find any info in the SA forums. Can someone please refresh my memory as to whether I dreamt this or there was actually a proposal for this s...

Pikey, top shelf on your photos! They really have captured the feel of the various projects with the interesting angles you have accessed around the city. Thank you for your efforts.

Was actually about to report on HY getting the contract for this building but you beat me to it Professor!

Not sure of the reliability or completeness of this "rumour" but will relay it anyway. Should make an interesting talking point. Graham Cornes on the 5AA sports show tonight revealed an in house government document that there was to be a train line extension that consisted of a football pa...

According to a media report last week, the site has been bought by the Hines group, developers of Domain appartments on Grenfell and the the very slow moving Conservatory on Hindmarsh. Based on that info dont expect anything to happen quickly!
