[COM] Re: U/C: 374-400 King William St | 47m | 11lvls | Office

This building must be nearing completion, most nights each week (including over weekends) one or two entire floors are lit up (you can count hundreds of fluoro lights on each floor) for presumably interior fitout. What's funny is that externally not much has been happening for weeks. They basically ...

[COM] Re: #U/C: 374-400 King William St | 47m | 11lvls | Office

Thanks for the thanks... it's funny, I didn't even notice the reflection of Optus House until AtD pointed it out! I have to say this building looks better in subdued light rather than full sun as the pics today were, but I'm prepared to wait until it's completely finished just to get a proper sense ...

[CAN] Re: #U/C: The Precinct - 5 x 18 lvl - 58m towers

I should have said it's Franklin St looking west. EDIT: I think the 9 storey odd building is generic office tower (old) - has "The Adelaide Review" logo on the top edge of it that you can't see from this angle. I like this view though because if at least the second Precinct tower goes ahead and one ...

[CAN] Re: #U/C: The Precinct - 5 x 18 lvl - 58m towers

I can't emphasise enough the impact this single tower is having on that part of the city. Everytime I drive up Franklin St or Morphett St towards it, it looms up out of the relatively flat area and actually helps remind you that you are in a capital city and gives you more of that 'closed in' feel y...

[COM] Re: #U/C: 374-400 King William St | 47m | 11lvls | Office

They've put a bit more of the blue glass up since the last photo (not a lot though) but it's making it easier to get a 'feel' for what this will look like when finished. Perhaps a bit darker and 'heavier' than the renders but part of that is probably winter overcast but it has to be said, it actuall...

Just for a change, a couple of night-time pictures of this development - one of the development itself and the other with it in context to the core CBD.

I can only add to the chorus of approval for the polished stone. The photos simply cannot do it justice - in person it is very, very impressive. I enjoy walking past this one every day going to and from work - it has the potential to be a very impressive building. Can't wait to see the glasswork. Lo...

Close to announcing a deal? The Independent Weekly already carried a story indicating which govt. dept would be taking all five floors, earlier in this thread. The contract is done and dusted. Odd to have such a delay in the announcement.

[COM] Re: #U/C: 374-400 King William St | 47m | 11lvls | Office

This building is truly monolithic in an impressive way. I am currently parking each day in the car park next to it and even in the past month I've noticed it 'darken' considerably on level 5 as they have been building upwards. It's been a very busy site. That last photo really shows its scale and th...

Re: Proposal to Lift CBD Height Restrictions Defeated

As someone who rents in Adelaide, voted in the last election and who also nearly purchased a townhouse in the square mile last year, I can assure SA members I carefully looked at each of the candidates at the last council election and frankly, the choices for what I would call a 'realistic pro-devel...

[COM] Re: #U/C: Lot 8 Coglin Place - 43m, 13 lvls

I think this is shaping up as one of my favourite developments in Adelaide - the location is awesome, it's rocketing up (it seems to go up about 1 floor every week) and it already grabs my attention walking to work across Whitmore Square (albeit at the cost of eliminating most of the view of SA Wate...

[COM] Re: #Proposed: 413-427 King William St - 15 lvl 60m

The impact of these developments, assuming they eventuate, can't be overestimated to my mind. I currently live in the SW corner and it's amazing (a) how empty and low the city looks when you look east towards the Adelaide Hills but (b) how big and assuming the Optus tower appears simply because ever...
