[APP] Re: APP: Former LeCornu Redevelopment | 20m | 6lvls | Mixed

Like many others, I will be interested to see how this proceeds and how it blends (in real life) with what is there. Also, I am not a lawyer but I think talking on a public forum about donations being made in order to facilitate planning approval might be a little bit unwise unless you have evidence...

[APP] Re: #APP: 42-56 Franklin St | Big ugly car park | 8 levels

I welcome this development. Even if the ratio of public transport use to total transport in the city area is increasing, if the overall numbers of people in the city are also increasing, you need additional car parking. Yes, we can argue all day about what is aesthetically better or how we might pre...

Re: CBD Development: Low/Mid-Rise

The best (worst?) thing about this new showroom is that it appears to have 3 permanent 'aircraft warning' lights flashing on its roof at night. Not what you expect on a 4 storey structure, even if is on West Terrace and presumably in line of sight to the airport. Happy to see West Terrace being turn...

[CAN] Re: #U/C: The Precinct - 5 x 18 lvl - 58m towers

My general feeling is that the original renders (with all the colourful squares) rarely 'work' in reality and unfortunately this development (including the Morphett St 7 storey block whose name escapes me for the second) haven't really hit their intended mark. Everything is relative though and I don...

Development as of Sunday 13th Dec ~6pm 2009 - looking pretty sweet. Not being 'heightist' for the sake of it, but it would have looked awesome if Wave could have just had an extra couple of floors over Edge. Still a v. nice looking building from the South Terrace side. http://www.freeimagehosting.ne...

Some photos taken today (Sunday 13th Dec ~6pm) - very similar to what has been posted recently as not much seems to be happening externally. I have to say this one is much more impressive in the flesh, to my eyes at least. http://www.freeimagehosting.net/uploads/c4da6965c5.jpg http://www.freeimageho...

[COM] Re: #APP: Rundle Place | 102m | 21lvls | Office & Retail

I wonder if they've won the Commonwealth lease that was being tossed around a month or three ago? It was a multitude of departments. The reason I suspect as much is because the office tower above the Myer Centre was recently put up for lease on RealCommercial.com. If I remember correctly the curren...

[COM] Re: U/C: 374-400 King William St | 47m | 11lvls | Office

This building must be nearing completion, most nights each week (including over weekends) one or two entire floors are lit up (you can count hundreds of fluoro lights on each floor) for presumably interior fitout. What's funny is that externally not much has been happening for weeks. They basically ...

Thanks for the thanks... it's funny, I didn't even notice the reflection of Optus House until AtD pointed it out! I have to say this building looks better in subdued light rather than full sun as the pics today were, but I'm prepared to wait until it's completely finished just to get a proper sense ...

[CAN] Re: #U/C: The Precinct - 5 x 18 lvl - 58m towers

I should have said it's Franklin St looking west. EDIT: I think the 9 storey odd building is generic office tower (old) - has "The Adelaide Review" logo on the top edge of it that you can't see from this angle. I like this view though because if at least the second Precinct tower goes ahead and one ...
