The original idea of the plaza was for it to serve as a meeting place (Think federation square in Melb).

It never turned out that way and to me it looks like a terrible eyesore.
That being said though, I don't know exactly what should be replacing it.

If the render in the paper is how it's going to look when it's finished, I think it will look great. I'm talking about the smaller one with the red, yellow and blue lights. Would look brilliant. As Anne Moran said (god, I can't believe I'm agreeing with her) - where would you watch? There's not a l...

That poll proves that there is more people than just us who want such quality developments to proceed in Adelaide.

Hopefully the media attention that this tower has caused will force AAL and ACC to approve this work of art.

By the way, just looking at that render again, it looks freakishly long.

In someways I'm glad its around 123m and not 164m. While a building at that height would of been awesome, it would of looked weird opposite Santos and probley end our construction boom. - plus the site is not very wide How would it have looked wierd? If anything it will look wierd now half covering...

No, in 10 years time it will be 10 years out of date.
The thing with AAMI is, well...it has never been a great venue to begin with.
