[U/C] Re: SkyCity Adelaide Casino Expansion | 55m | 12 Levels | Hotel

This is a week old (sorry, forgot to upload), but shows a different perspective from other photos and also shows the Festival Tower columns starting to come out of the ground! Do the columns wed this site to the existing design or would it be possible for another design to be engineered to the same...

Re: SA Economy

However the article saying that we are resembling a regional country town because of our ageing demographics, in my opinion is a crock of shit. What country town even comes close to resembling Adelaide, look at our city for example, according to these forums we average ten to fifteen new high rise ...

The ABC's doing an Our Changing State series that 'looks at how SA is changing and the challenges it must overcome', with part one below: Adelaide is moving into the 'grey zone', and there's one thing that could fix it Rebecca Puddy, 8 December 2019, ABC News For years, South Australia has faced an ...

[PRO] Re: Central Market Arcade Redevelopment

Love the proposal, especially the red brick arches, and am really glad that they're keeping the original markets intact. 24/7 nightlife and improved laneway access and connections. All around a very positive outcome. Pretty sure they said on the news report that the old market hall will be demolish...

Noticed carpark solar going up at Castle Plaza the other week too. I'd rather no open air carparks but if they're going be there this is a great use of space and provision of shade.

We should be greening the desert like the Israelis. We have plenty of sun to generate energy and water to desalinate...FFS! Is that a good suggestion? Cheers We're not at the stage of needing to desalinate water for irrigation, but it's worth noting that the Northern Adelaide Irrigation Scheme is f...

[PRO] Re: Central Market

I'm very happy with this. Two of my absolute musts have been met: 24/7 access between Grote and Gouger, and the reinstatement of the brick arch motif. I'm neither here nor there on the tower elements. It's a nice design, but it would suit the location better if the Hilton site were also being redeve...

[PRO] Re: Central Market

"Last month, ACMA chair Nick Begakis told a council committee meeting the market would require extra financial assistance from the council during construction. He said 260 fewer car parks would be available for customers during that period." Sure, 260 fewer car parks out of how many in the surround...

Currie Street is really in need of a refurbishment with the proposal of 80 Currie Street, Sofitel, QT and 75-79 KWS.
Along with Grenfell St. Not only are the smack in the middle of the business district they’re also the chief public transport corridor — they deserve better.

[U/C] Re: 11 Frome Street | 135m | 37 Levels | Crowne Plaza / Adelaidean | New tallest

With both Adelaidean and Realm topping out recently, I snapped these shots from the good ol' North Adelaide car park a few days ago. I have a feeling that Realm will have a much nicer top floor and roof area, when viewed from a distance, because the Adelaidean seems to have turned out a little disa...

The KW/Currie/Grenfell St intersection should become a Vegas style pedestrian free flyovers
Huh? That sounds absurd.
