Re: Tour Down Under will get some airtime in the States

Bloody victorians at it again, if there was any chance of us relinquishing this event they would be the first to snaffle it up at any cost.
Then that idiot reporter would be the first in line to write an article on such a great event acquired by the vics.

Re: [] News: Adelaide City Council

If I remember correctly didn't someone commit suicide off the renaissance tower sometime during the early 90s?

I can't really remember what the circumstances were behind it.

Re: #S-A XMAS Drinks (December 22nd) - Griffins Head

Wish I could go along for an ale or two but unfortunately I live in Canberra. Oh well only 12 more months to go before I can proudly call Adelaide home again.

Here in Canberra the big supermarkets are open until midnight everyday. Adelaide's shopping hours are a little outdated.

Re: What you miss about Adelaide...

Your right ATD, Canberra is very rural. I live in the Gungahlin area and I have views of the hills around me. There are even sheep in the paddock across the road (my house is on the edge of the estate) which you can hear most nights! Even on tv here it feels rural with Win, Prime and Southern Cross ...

Re: What you miss about Adelaide...

Re: #Completed : Adelaide Airport

I flew over to Adelaide for a brief stop last week with work and a guy from Sydney who had never been to Adelaide before commented on our arrival at the terminal saying "wow, nice welcome for travelers" and I immediately thought how first impressions are so crucial.
