[COM] Re: U/C: Adelaide Oval Redevelopment | 53,500 | $545m

I think it's great that Adelaide has a stadium that can hold 50000 plus and still have a area that you can stand on the grass and watch the game. Those who have always loved standing on the hill during the cricket will be glad of the outcome. People from around the world will admire the unique stadi...

[COM] Re: U/C: SAHMRI | $200m

Hindmarsh has put out there construction deadlines and the facade is meant to be finished by 26th July. I don't think this is realistic but at least we should see some changes very soon. There should be another panel delivery tomorrow.

[COM] Re: U/C: Adelaide Oval Redevelopment | 53,500 | $545m

The Southern Stand will be ready for the Ashes, the Eastern Stand will be ready for AFL 2014 season. With hope we might see both stands ready in-time for the Ashes or maybe the Australia Day test![/quote I predict that neither stands will be properly finished in time for the ashes, the southern sta...

[COM] Re: U/C: SAHMRI | $200m

I was told by someone high up on site that they saved 2 million by going with a Chinese company, pretty sad really, maybe they got what they (Hindmarsh) deserve, pity all the Subies on site have to suffer because they have to pay for the hold ups, this job is months and months late, and rumor has it...

[COM] Re: U/C: SAHMRI | $200m

Yes there are about 6-8 panels already installed on the ground floor (level 3) and they expect to start seeing more daily but because they are coming from china it's unreliable. Maybe they should have had them made in Adelaide and the job would have been finished by now, and probably would have been...

[COM] Re: U/C: SAHMRI | $200m

Mono, you do realise the actual story behind the colours was that once a day, each painter would paint a colour that is from their favorite footy team and a consistency of grass green to keep things looking relatively organized. Because a vast lot of the painters were Victorian, you'll notice the c...

[COM] Re: U/C: SAHMRI | $200m

One thing that puzzles me is the painting of the walls with the coloured triangles. 1. Wouldn't that normally be something they do towards the end at internal fit-out stage? 2. Given the coloured glass wrap around the building, wouldn't that make painted walls redundant, as the light coming through...
