Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines

Is all the construction at the airport finished now, or is it still happening?

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines

Just saw on the news that Emirates has pulled out of Adelaide :o Hopefully it's just during the pandemic. They had already suspended adelaide flights for covid19. This announcement is for them withdrawing permanently. Based on the following quote in Advertiser from an Emirates spokesperson, not sur...

You getting that scope from the Geotechnical Investigation tender or somewhere else? If somewhere else - you could be onto a scoop and should sell to the Advertiser
Things posted here that have any weight to them (and plenty that don't) show up there anyway.

Re: News & Developments: Mawson Lakes

Is the parking there currently ticketed? Nope it is free and untimed in the train station car park I wonder what the conditions are on the developer. The listing says that "Current parking/services must be maintained" which for the bus interchange seems fine, but when it comes to parking it would s...

Although I’m surprised there aren’t more student accommodation buildings proposed for the west. Mate, have you ever heard of : 1) Unilodge city gardens 2) atira waymouth 3) 124 Waymouth st I realise this. Did you read where I said more student accommodation buildings PROPOSED for the west. There is...

Re: News & Developments: Port Adelaide

By the same token it's unlikely Mawson Lakes would be as successful as it is without UniSA there, and given the MFP proposals it made sense to have a uni campus there that does a lot of engineering and IT stuff. The Levels Campus (now called Mawson Lakes) of the South Australian Institute of Techno...

[SWP] Re: Brougham Place | 54m | 4 x up to 16lvls | Mixed Use

It's an amazing location and view, but I wonder if they are being optimistic with that penthouse. Assuming the other tower goes up next door there will be many windows a few meters away looking down into the penthouse. Still a stunning home, but misses a lot of what usually makes penthouses sell for...

Y’all pictures of it lately have made this look good.
I was thinking that the photo CMB01 posted looked closer to the renders than anything I've seen, including multiple times in person!

[ONH] Re: News & Developments: Parafield Airport Retail

Does anyone seriously think The District will actually start development. Apparently they were struggling to attract retailers even before COVID hit. I don't see it right now. A Harbour Town style development works when it's big enough that it's seen as a destination in its own right, which require...

Re: News & Discussion: Electricity Infrastructure

I'm all in favour of rooftop solar and will hopefully have it installed myself in the next few years. However I do think that in the not too distant future it will (and should) be mandated that if you are going to connect rooftop solar to the grid it should need to have a local battery, as well as c...

[ONH] Re: Parafield Airport | Developments & News

I know some people who bought a house in Mawson Lakes and complain about the noise, they only moved there in recent years so I don't have much sympathy. I'm sure that Parafield Airport will get redeveloped at some point, as Adelaide grows the land will simply become too valuable. However those sayin...

[U/C] Re: Adelaide Oval Hotel

Seems there is still a lot of façade work to go on, but looking at the images on the Adelaide Oval Hotel website compared to these most recent photos there has definitely still been a simplification of the design, with smaller more regular windows.
