Re: #U/C : Ent. Centre Upgrade | $50m | (2,500) | Hindmarsh

I drove past this site the other night and they were doing tests of the lights one panel at a time. It seemed that only the internal faces light up while the outside stays completely dark, can anyone confirm that?

Re: #Official - Never Builts

I think you're mistaking what I wrote - the question was "how anyone can say Glenelg has been ruined by developments of recent years" and I put forward one of the ways that people reached that opinion. My own family has lived in Somerton Park for more than 22 years, so I'm not unfamiliar with the a...

Re: #Official - Never Builts

Well if you look at the render it was a nice looking glass building. Also most people want to see glenelg develop more and become more vibrant. Glenelg has actually become far less interesting in the last few years in my opinion. The foreshore apartments sit off by themselves in a little community ...

Re: #U/C: Port Adelaide Tram Line

Has anyone taken a look on NearMap lately? The encroachment of the tramline/roadworks onto the Parklands is absolutely tragic. When you see it from the aerial perspective, it really highlights just how impacting the works have been, comparable to what you see and judge from street-level. Frankly I'...

Re: #Official - Never Builts

The cancellation of Latitude at Glenelg just about left me in tears. http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/news/south-australia/glenelgs-final-green-tower/story-e6frea83-1111115327386 There were a couple of proposals for the site and it was advertised as being the last building near the beach at Glenelg. U...

Re: #U/C: Port Adelaide Tram Line

When the Adelaide Oval redevelopment was announced, Mike Rann pubicly stated that there will not be a tramline to Adelaide Oval or North Adelaide, when asked about improving PT accessibility. The $20m pedestrian bridge is designed to take people to the train station and tram stop quicker. And just ...

Re: #U/C: Port Adelaide Tram Line

This is getting a bit further ahead now, but where do people expect things to go from here? While the current goal is of coast to coast rail, I can't see that happening for a long time if the Adelaide Oval AFL plan goes ahead and reduces the priority of a West Lakes stop. I think that the next tram ...

Re: The Great Roads Debate

Indeed. :applause: For better or worse, South Road will never be the freeway some people want it to be. The chance for that has been and gone decades ago. So basically SA has had no strategies in the past so we're stuck with south road!!!! :wallbash: Well we are stuck with it in the sense that for ...

Re: The Great Roads Debate

I honestly believe the problem does not lie within South Road; but with the lack of available north-south corridors throughout the Adelaide metropolitan area. South Road is the only corridor, and hence we need to reduce our dependancy on it, not increase it! I think that there would be far more ben...

Re: The Great Roads Debate

If we agree that we should spend them money in portions would it not make sense to free up the congested portions of south road, not the free flowing end after Regency road???? Sure it would, if everything was equal. That's why the next step was planned to be on more currently congested se...

Re: The Great Roads Debate

Slightly more convenient???? Are you kidding me, travel from cnr of Sturt and south road to cnr or regency and south road at 8 a.m. and then use the word slighty. Not sure what planet you're on my friend but that needs to be fixed now, what do you think is going to happen with the trucks when they ...

Re: The Great Roads Debate

What a crock of ( :toilet: ) spend $900 Million to save 2 mins on a three lane stretch of road that has a speed limit of 70 km/hr!!! :wallbash: What about the rest of south road, i ask for the 10 Trillionth time!!! :hilarious: Dare we make any radicall changes to this state that might put us into t...
