Re: SA Economy

On the one hand (thinking aloud) I post various ideas and thought bubbles about doing something different, or creating new industries and so on, asking often WHY NOT IN SA. And on the other hand we have people who are generally constant naysayers, always finding something wrong with every idea or s...

The glazing is horrible, driving along North Terrace during the daytime, you can see all of the hotel curtains... There is zero reflection on the windows. I can understand if you cheap'd out on glazing if the building was similar to those around Victoria Square, but the glazing is what was meant to...

Re: SA Economy

SA wouldn't be a good location for SpaceX for a couple of reasons. They currently do a lot of US government business, and there are both legal considerations regarding ITAR and the fact that if they are doing more development work overseas they lose a lot of lobbying ability. The other reason is a ...

Re: SA Economy

Yep exactly. It all sounds so simple and awesome to do this, but even if we give them cheap/free land and even pay them to move here, the ongoing costs of doing business here compared to Asia will not stack up. High wages, electricity, construction costs, superannuation, insurances, freight, yada y...

Didn’t Knoll say they’d have the answer to what general form the final stage would take by end of 2019? Now we have to wait a further 12 months? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I'm thinking they are going to take a final plan to the next state election, and will say that it took ages due to Labo...

As seen in the photo (circled), a segment of the psychedelic LCD feature is displaying a different colour to the remainder. In broad daylight, it's pretty obvious. https://i.imgur.com/xF7AKeS.jpg It's been doing that since it was lit up, definitely looks broken but it's been that way for months so ...

Here's the view from a north-facing three-bedroom: image.jpg There are two things in this building's external appearance I hope will be finessed: firstly, the crown needs to be completed in-the-round; and, secondly, I hope the underside/ceiling of the balconies are smoothed (or painted). Otherwise,...

Re: Adelaide Oval news and events

The English Premier League are looking at options to finish their season under lock down. It is looking at basing all 20 teams in one city to play the remaining games of the season. A significant economic boost to any city involved, in immediate $$$ and international exposure on TV for future touri...

Re: Magill/Portrush Road Intersection Upgrade | $98m

A tunnel from north of Magill Road intersection to south of Greenhill Road intersection would work better But that is a massively expensive tunnel that is not at all close to the budget for this project. This gets a few driveways off a major road that should have never had driveways on it to begin ...
