[COM] Re: New Royal Adelaide Hospital | $2.1b

On the Emporis website Adelaide doesn't have much of a presence if any in the skyscraper data base which comes as no surprise. However Adelaide does feature in the worlds most expensive builds with the NRAH coming in number 4 at 2.1b.... I can appreciate we were in need of a new hospital the existin...

Cant speak for the railway side , but i think the North Tce side is looking even better now they are nearly completion and have uncovered all the different tones of yellow throughout the building and facade. Will look interesting lit up at night.

This has a fairly big footprint. Will be interesting to see how many fixed cranes go up.

Design could be better. Melbourne has some great buildings in the works. You should see Aukland! Same size as Adelaide, but the architecture is so far ahead ... I found Aucklands achitecture boring and soulesss. It was literally one of the most souless CBDs i have visited... and I've been to Perth....

[U/C] Re: Renaissance Arcade | 132m | 40lvls | Realm Apartments

In that video, Callum Fraser states that this building will be the tallest in the state. You could argue that the Port Pirie Smelter (205m) will still be the tallest in the state. Haha classic Definition of building is simply has walls and a roof . Id hope that stack doesn't have a roof. There are ...

Well said Slenderman. Yep, even 3 or 4 new 100 metre+ buildings would help change perceptions of Adelaide, and put us back at the big kids table for the first time in 30 years 8) These are the kind of comments that really piss me off, do you honestly believe that the piss-ant/small-town perception ...

Re: Negativity in Adelaide

Adelaide's employment backbone has always been manufacturing. Was there ever a plan B? The state government needs to be very calculated about what industry they help establish or grow here because manufacturing in the Western world is dying on it's ass. Large companies can not compete with South and...

[COM] Re: Holiday Inn Express | Hindley Street | 39m | 11 lvls | H

Windows can still be double glazed regardless if there are balconies. So guests smoking inside the room is also preferable, not. For me, sitting outside people-watching on an entertainment strip like Hindley is far prefable than being couped up in a room just watching a TV - you may as well just st...

So there is a possibility that it could end up as only 1 tower ?

Or is that just the process to this build and the percentage of sales required applies to both towers as one project ?

Re: The SA Politics Thread

NXT will get my vote. Either that or the donkey. I'm over politicians be it state or federal. They are all the same, the left the right what ever. Seems they are more worried about short term profit and maintaining their own jobs than that of the general populous. I can appreciate we need to be gove...

Re: New Royal Adelaide Hospital

The government are the ones who initially put unrealistic timelines and budgets on their projects. Not the Builder. Of coarse it looks better for them to initially sell to the public a best case scenario and over promise resulting in under delivering. They are aware this initial tender and budget wi...
