[COM] Re: SWP: Adelaide Oval Redevelopment

47,000 seats in the stands and 4,000 on the concourse, some of which wont be able to be used during cricket due to sight screens.
they may be able to squeeze a couple thousand standing room behind, but capacity wont be much more than 52k...same as football park

Re: A Discussion about Tolls (on roads..)

That is what I'm trying to say The Government should be encouraging inner city, medium denisty housing the subsidies that apply to greenfields sites (both directly and inderectly) should be diverted in full to medium density housing. I would rather see that, than a heap 250sqm homes on 300 sqm bloc...

Re: A Discussion about Tolls (on roads..)

perhaps northern expressway and south road superway could've been toll roads as they are/were primarily constructed for commercial traffic however whilst taxes continue to spiral along with the costs of essential services i wouldnt like to see further costs added to the daily commute where competiti...

Re: Electrification and Resleepering of suburban rail networ

TBH I believe the railway electrification of all train lines is more important than a 2.8km elevated highway. Sure it's an impressive piece of infrastructure but Adelaide has suffered long enough with it's pathetic old railway network. This should of have taken more priority first before the South ...

Re: Electrification and Resleepering of suburban rail networ

It sounded both too good, and too silly, to be true, so thanks for clearing that up! I'm really quite suprised that theye taken the axe to PT funding so quickly, over Adelaide Oval. I don't think too many people would have complained I we had got away with one less video screen, or the footbridge o...

Re: Electrification and Resleepering of suburban rail networ

why? many more people would view that as a higher priority what's electrification on the Gawler line going to achieve anyway? its not like there is no train to and from Gawler now, and they run frequently enough and whats the duplication of the southern expressway going to achieve considering there...

Re: Electrification and Resleepering of suburban rail networ

really though? yes really, many more thousands use the southern expressway every day than use the gawler train So you're comparing a rail line in the north to a freeway in the south? I wouldn't be complaing if they where going to spend more on the seaford line than the gawler line. im complaining t...

Re: Electrification and Resleepering of suburban rail networ

Hang on, I thought the Federal Government was funding the Gawler line?? But still, why do we have the $400m Southern Expressway duplication and the $800m Superway being built and they cant find $200m for the electrification of the Gawler Line, they should have suspended the Southern Expressway dupl...
