[U/C] Re: Adelaide Oval Hotel

I don’t want to drag it on but aceman do you understand it is you making a statement of fact, “there won’t be a season this year” when in fact it is not a fact but only your opinion?

[U/C] Re: Adelaide Oval Hotel

Ok aceman so you are saying its (already) a fact and not merely your opinion?
Can you elaborate who has made this decision (is it a Federal Govt/Health Dept decision)?
So even with no crowds there will be no AFL games/season?

[U/C] Re: Adelaide Oval Hotel

With AO a possible ground for the AFL quarantined hubs idea, could/would the teams playing here use this new hotel to accommodate them? I think the proposed completion date was June with a potential AFL start date at the end of July... if its running on time it could work.

Re: News & Discussion: Squares and Parklands

I still think the ACC and/or the Govt will need to step up and either totally repair/modernise the centre or ideally build it new. I dont think just bulldozing and leaving nothing will be supported or a likely outcome, I hope.

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide City Council

I know it may have been controversial between opposing groups but can you just elaborate on what you think was the significant damage done by the council factionalism? I think the St Clair development outcome was very good & the land swap the right decision with a big benefit to the community. But s...

So in hindsight does the forum think they should have just used a metallic glass? So a permanent colour [ie bronze, gold etc] instead of the reflective glass, whose appearance is reliant/determined by the time of day, amount of sun etc

Re: Barossa | Oscar Seppeltsfield | 12 Levels

I think about 5 years ago the same developers made an unsolicited bid to take over and build a day spa concept for Martindale Hall at Clare. It could have been fantastic but never get off the ground. Really hope this one happens.

Re: Barossa | Oscar Seppeltsfield | 12 Levels

Its design is supposedly based on a wine barrel...I'm thinking if it was designed to be a faithful shape of a wine barrel [a modern metallic one like this with glass balconies etc], would that look better or would it make it look more tacky?

Re: Beer Garden

I read an article that the coronavirus has cost (and China should be sued) for at least $6.5 Trillion for the damage it has done to the worlds G7 economies. Not sure if this is an estimate or the actual cost so far (with Australia’s Govt bailout at $130 billion so far). Btw, anyone know what China i...

Re: News & Discussion: Squares and Parklands

I think you misinterpreted me, this is not directed to or expecting anything of the AFL or the AFC. My long term question was to the ACC ~ the Adelaide City Council as owner of the aquatic centre. In particular, I look forward to hearing their plan in one years time (or longer) based on no other opt...

Re: News & Discussion: Trams

Possibly although I think the lights are already sequenced now but for cars/vehicles. Say all the lights along West Tce are sequenced for cars, so then the tram coming to/from North Tce should override this?

Re: News & Discussion: Squares and Parklands

Will the ACC still be releasing their own results from their consultation/questionnaire about the Aquatic centre? I would like to see what their plans are say in one year. Do we just expect them to sit on the fence and do nothing anyway?
