[APP] Re: SWP: Former LeCornu Redevelopment | 20m | 6lvls | Mixed

I read recently that with the success of the Adelaide Oval the Crows are now possibly willing to move from West Lakes to the city, wouldn't the old Le Cornu site, obviously with other development (apartments or hotel above) lend its self for a new Crows or Power HQ. Perhaps combined with a relocate...

[U/C] Re: PRO: SkyCity Adelaide Casino Expansion | $300m

Whilst surfing through the masses of Convention Centre thread, I can't help but wonder why the government didn't work more with SkyCity to birth the best possible outcome for both sides. For example; the land occupied by the original plenary building, the office building behind and the InterContine...

[COM] Re: U/C: Adelaide Convention Centre | $350m

I can't seem to find it anywhere, but I recall a render in the early proposal stage of this development that the extensions to the West and East were going to match the main glass building. To be honest, the attached was the best proposal put forward - probably would have cost significantly more.

[COM] Re: U/R: Colonial Mutual Building > Mayfair Hotel

I expected more to be honest. There's too many grey panels. Needs more of the green glass. I expected more too, more window panels and I thought the grey panels was meant to be dark, almost like a black? It might have something to do with the fact that there are rooms inside this area, privacy perh...

Such a bummer. The proposal worked well with the area. I can't see much of a future for the old house on this property, unless of-course it's heritage listed?

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide City Council

While it's a big improvement, as it have said before they should have left well enough alone till they could do it properly. By that I mean square it up with a small paved limited access road around the edge, underground the traffic straight through in both or one direction. And all this in conjunc...

Probably the most exciting point I noticed was that Adelaide's very first GRILL'D Fresh Burger restaurant  So what? We have better burgers made by local companies already. Tell that to the masses who are excited about Pie Face and Krispy Kreme's setting up shop here. Grill'd are different, ...

[APP] Re: PRO: Coles Norwood Redevelopment | 8 Lvls

So, an update! I went past it earlier and it's having concrete placed around where those old planters were. The same colour cladding appears to have been used to spruce the place up a bit and I think they're trying to place a bigger emphasis upon the shops that face The Parade. The four or so shops...

[COM] Re: PRO: Northern Connector | 14km | $1b

Only 2bn for Adelaide out of all that funding - even WA gets 7bn! What is happening - seems out of proportion with needs and population here. However, good to see these projects funded. We need extra $152m to finish Gawler electrification urgently though. ADELAIDE - TOWARDS A GREATER CITY SKYLINE A...

[APP] Re: PRO: Coles Norwood Redevelopment | 8 Lvls

A little off topic, but I can't find literally ANYTHING on th redevelopment of Parade Central (where Hoyts lives), Billy Baxters has closed, Subway have relocated to a shop-front on the Parade and a 24/7 gym has opebed at the back of the building. They've replaced the facade of the building on The P...

Re: VIS: Market Arcade redevelopment

A casino would be completely out of character for the area. My hope is that the district courts get moved to the new court building planned, and that the Samuel Way Building can become a station for the underground rail loop outlined in the 30yr transport plan, with the upper levels being used for ...

Re: VIS: Market Arcade redevelopment

To be honest, I'd rather have seen SkyCity buy the old Moore's building (now the courts), the Hilton Hotel and the Market Arcade and incorporating the old Moore's building redevelop a new casino within that area (with respect to the markets. Would further encourage night-time trading on Gouger Stree...

Wow, this one reeks of character.

Seriously, could Adelaide have possibly hit an all-time low in effort when it comes to building proposals?

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide City Council

Whilst Adelaide United have the advantage of a smaller venue that will fill out and provide a better game environment for anyone in attendance. There is no denying that Hindmarsh is a mediocre venue, and no minor investments into the facility are going to change that. Three out of the four stands ar...
