Re: Turn off car engine when idling more than 10 secs
But how often do you practice this in a day? Once or twice a day? And how much fuel can you save out of this? To be perfectly honest, drive during off-peak hours and you'll save 20% more fuel than you do during peak hours, and also the way you accelerate from standstill will also have more apparent ...

Re: Adelaide Motor Show cancelled until next year
To me, a motorshow should showcase the launch of new models line up, concept cars, concept technologies, etc. Sadly, this never happened here in Adelaide, and merely only Holden and Ford would launch new models in so-called Australian International Motorshow, but not Adelaide, so what's the point? W...

Re: Turn off car engine when idling more than 10 secs
I only stop my car engine when I am stuck in the stupid railway crossing in Torrens Rd Ovingham as freight trains normally takes 3-4minutes to cross (often during peak hours - yes! That is incredibly irritating). But on a normal traffic jam, no, it would not be efficient. It would only be efficient,...

Re: O-Bahn video from underneath track!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_zuYBMJ7CtU while I was watching your video above, I came across this one. I was surprised to see that our O Bahn gained so many international interests when it was built that we've offered to sell this technology to other countries! Wonder where has our spirit gone? P...

Re: #PRO: St. Clair (Woodville/Cheltenham) - $500m
What is TOD?
I am just wondering, if the development guidelines of the St. Clair management actually overrides the development design guidelines of the local council?

It is interesting to note that the first two designs had windows down the eastern facing side, while the approved design has them gone. Perhaps that is one good thing about the approved form of the development, if it's a forward-thinking feature. Not necessarily a forward-thinking feature to have b...

Re: #U/C: $43billion FTTH NBN
Article this morning.. appears to be a three horse race now. By the way, should we move this to transport/infrastructure forum? Hosting the NBN headquarters promises a big lift to employment, funding and kudos for the successful city and state. Regardless of where the NBN headquarters ends up, the ...

Re: #U/C: $43billion FTTH NBN
This news is very dissapointing for the people of SA.
And we start asking why young people move out of SA? Simply because the state government had not done enough to retain or to create a more fascinating job prospects locally.

Re: No Ferrari in F1, no Albert Park
I dont understand why they didnt break away years ago. They are the reason he is so rich. People go for the cars, not his organization. If Ferrari, Mclaren, red bull etc were to all race in a new comp, I am sure it would be just as popular. And would probably be more cost efficient, as they would r...
