[U/C] Re: News & Discussion: South Road / North-South Corridor
Or, alternatively, instead of naming it after a person or place or group, how about we just call it the M2? I assume it's going to be the M2 for the entire length in the metro area, just rename the NEXY from M20 to M2. The South Eastern Freeway is the M1.. AFAIK the Northern Expressway is already t...

yeah.. Steven Marshall needs to hang his head in shame at this building

What an utterly deluded comment - unless of course its a joke.
Marshall has been Premier for all of 6 weeks - this building was approved prol 2 years ago

Nah, but I agree with you - not car parking. Basement/sub basement for lifts, plant etc, rather than on top of the building.

Spoke to a worker on site yesterday arvo - they are running 6 weeks behind on this one. Basement almost dug but more concrete to go in.

[COM] Re: Renaissance Arcade | 132m | 40 Levels | Realm Apartments
Appears they are running behind on this one. An article from late last year indicated construction of the structure would start in March with the podium (8 levels?) done by June. This would appear extremely unlikely. Based on the minimal below ground work on the Frome St tower, Realm needs to get a ...

What 'character' on the southern side of North Terrace is this 'concerned government architect' referring to? Is it the beige concrete monstrosity that is the David Jones building, or its afterthought add-on Tiffany & Co? The Adelaide Central Plaza, with its six-lane car park entry and poorly t...

I sort of feel like this is a waste of money and time. I use the seafood line everyday and I would hate to have to go back to buses just to improve the car traffic on the roads. With the enirvoment issues we are facing these days, we shouldn’t be spending so much money on making car travel better b...

[U/C] Re: Former LeCornu Redevelopment | Mixed Use
The front half adjoining O'Connell St has been grassed with roll-out turf. The rear half has been graded, however no grass. Perhaps the council will put metered parking in there to generate some income?

Re: News & Discussion: Trams
Totally agree. Why can't we just finish Gawler line electrification first (all the way to Gawler so all trains are electric), which was promised nearly 10 years ago!!! Upgrade and extend park and rides at major stations, and upgrade the crappy stations so people actually want to catch a train from ...

When is the Libs going to release anything transport related... at this rate it could be another 4 years of Labor. Whilst these tramline extensions to Norwood and North Adelaide is great news and will bring new investment to those suburbs, it would be better if the Labor Government committed to com...

[COM] Re: 269 North Terrace | ~125m | 34 Levels | student accommodation
I think what Patrick is meaning is that there does need to be a little bit more regulation in regards to North Terrace due to it being a cultural boulevard. It's a really picturesque road and it wouldn't be appropriate for it to have the same blanket rules as Grenfell or Waymouth Street. It's not t...
