Re: A Discussion about Tolls (on roads..)

In order to create a non-stop 'South Road' that they will need to build a tunnel somewhere along the route and this will have to be tolled. Road tunnels these days cost somewhere in the magnitude of $600m per kilometre of twin bored tunnels. It's no cheap exercise and the Government and/or private i...

[COM] Re: General Rundle Mall Development & Progress Thread

When the ACC says that they want to relocate the two restaurants and kiosks elsewhere in the mall, I presume they mean for them to occupy a building/tenancy just like everyone else? I think they'll find the rents and costs a bit more expensive in a shared building (strata, maintenance, etc) as oppos...

Re: COM/PRO: Glenelg Ent Complex (Beachhouse & Water World)

I agree, it may look a little tacky, but I think it is needed. Glenelg sorely needs something else to draw people to the area and provide further entertainment options for tourists and locals, and this is just one of many ways of achieving that. Not a fan of the preferred Hawaiian theme though, we s...

Thanks Will.

Mr Hines certainly is making his mark on the Hindmarsh Square precinct. Let's hope his next apartment tower project is a biggie like 123 Flinders!

[COM] Re: #APP: Torrens Footbridge (Festival Centre to Adelaide Ov

Better the bridge to be too wide than too narrow. It's practically an OHSW issue - if ever the need arises for patrons to evacuate Adelaide Oval and or the Riverbank, the bridge provides a convinient ease of access to trasnport tens of thousands of people across to safety as fast and as quickly as p...
