Republic of Australia?
Should we become a republic? Should we have a referendum again soon, or wait until the Queen passes away? Do we really want Charles as the Monarch of Australia? wikipedia has a good read on this subject ==> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Republicanism_in_Australia Will certainly be interesting to see ...

Re: Ideas on how to attract more people to SA?
You guys are missing a point here. Being able to hold world-class events means nothing. People will just come and then leave, just for the sake of attending those events. What the state needs to do is being able to offer world class living. It is a motivation for people to migrate here and stay. Mo...

Re: Ideas on how to attract more people to SA?
It may just be lack of imagination on there part. But constantly I hear people from varying ages groups telling me how little there is to do in Adelaide. Perhaps rather then attracting outside people to SA we should focus on having more things to do/keeping those we have got and as a bonus possibly...

Re: Ideas on how to attract more people to SA?
Money and Jobs talk...here's a couple of ideas: * What if the SA Govt offered BIG tax breaks for LARGE overseas corporations to setup shop here. I realize this could create angst for existing south aussie companies, so perhaps it should only apply to new industries not existing here yet (can anyone ...

[U/C] Re: #Proposed: 88 O'Connell St (Le Cornu Site) - 6 lvls
4 levels at the street creeping up to 6 at the back is a good compromise. Most importantly it breaks the ridiculous notion of "3 levels only" and hopefully sets a progressive precedent for future construction...

[COM] Re: South Road Upgrade
great idea reallyBad!
Can everyone put on their thinking caps and solve this problem too ==> How can we get southbound motorists exiting the Castle Plaza carpark to do so without a set of traffic lights? If we achieve this then the lights at the southern end of Castle Plaza could be removed!

Re: 'No chance' Adelaide will bid for Grand Prix
IMHO we'll never get the F1 back in Adelaide as Bernie Eccleston wants the Australia, Japan & maybe Singapore to be held at NIGHT to boost european TV ratings. Can you imagine approval being given for F1 cars to scream around our city streets for 4 days through to midnight or later! hahaha no ch...

Re: #Supporting Victoria Park Development Petition Thread
You could further increase awareness of the vic park petition (and potentially boost the number of people subscribed to the sensational-adelaide website!) by posting comments (with a link to the petition) in response to parkland stories on the AdelaideNow news website (http://www.news.com.au/adelaid...

Re: Ideas for front page poll?
Any ideas for a front page poll guys? How about a poll querying support of development in the parklands... Do you support further development in Adelaide's Parklands? * Yes, anything is better than acres of dried grass * Yes, but no corporate facilities please (must have public access) * No, keep t...

Re: Glenelg Tram Line Upgrade

Will it be done? and if so will it be completed in a similar timeframe to the South Rd/ Anzac Hwy underpass? thanks in advance... I imagine the tram overpass could be constructed very quick...
