Re: SA Budget 2016: Adelaide tramline to be extended to East

So my guess is the 3 stops on the median strip prob. where traffic lights are so opp. Gawler Pl/War memorial, Adelaide Uni/Pulteney St and old RAH/Botanic Gdns. So is any future extension likely a right hand turn along East Tce to either Rundle Rd or Bartels (& Flinders St) to the Parade?

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines

Any news on the Airport hotel? Maybe they are waiting for Masters to leave so they can refurbish it into a hotel!

Re: News & Discussion: Metropolitan Developments

This is the independent taxi office site behind the BP (corner of South Rd). I think owner may be just getting an approval to help sell the site if/when time comes.

Reminds me of the bankrupt ex-multi-millionaire that spent over half his fortune on alcohol, gambling and women.....and the rest of his money he just wasted.

Re: News & Discussion: Trams

I am all for trams and I know it has been discussed but still can't see how many of these routes can fit trams (and cars).Prospect Rd, Unley Rd, Henley Bch Rd are currently mostly one lane now (with the other lane used for parking). So what is the best option - no off street parking, one way/tracks ...

Really impressed how much has happened since they started the T2T. Does anyone know if they are working 24/7 and if so will it continue to the end of the project? At this rate it looks like it should finish well before 2 years time..

Would have been good if the whole building was done in this alucabond gold colour...Could it be the colour & material used for the exterior of the gold building proposed on the Le Cornu site?

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines

I remember reading about Aldi applying to build in the precinct. Anyone know where the actual location will be?
Also anyone know if and who they have selected as a hotel operator?

Re: News & Discussion: Trams

Due to the limited and narrow space available I would expect the Parade, Prospect Rd, Unley Rd etc if they ever get trams to be sharing the road with existing traffic like they do currently on Jetty Rd Glenelg.

[U/C] Re: News & Discussion: South Road / North-South Corridor

I think both sides of Pym St need to be closed off altogether or have no traffic lights with turn left only. How can a piddly intersection with negligible use be allowed to remain as a possible bottleneck in a $896m project?? Surely there needs to be a clear freeway to Regency Road (which needs to b...

Re: Bowden TOD | Developments & News

Yes I agree Nathan if they had those fac's in the neighbourhood but they don't.. Not sure Waewick why you think Bowden is different or its buyers are in a "wrong market" compared to other apartment developments? Waerwick you can have private operators [not council] run a gym/pool/spa/cinem...

Totally agree to make a proper square but also agree important to have good transport corridors (if not tunnels then what?) both ways (N-S/E-W) long term.

Re: Bowden TOD | Developments & News

As a potential apartment buyer I would like to see some developments in Bowden with some 'resort-style' facilities. I don't think any of the apt buildings have ever included things like an on-site gym, swimming pool, spa/steam room, cinema room, roof top bbq/gardens etc which seem the norm now in th...

Re: News & Discussion: Metropolitan Developments

The more I think about it, the more unlikely it is that Woolworths will sell Masters to a competing business/company like a Costco/Officeworks/Bunnings owned by Coles. A wild card would be if Woolworths can't get a buyer/fair price for Masters that they re-brand the sites to there other brands like ...

Re: News & Discussion: Trains

I noticed that the new SA Motorsport Park they are building at Tailem bend has a train line go right near it. It is Adel-Melb. train and would need a station built but just wondering if they ever wanted to run services one day (ie a V8 supercar race weekend told will happen), is Keswick the only poi...
