Re: PRO: 30-year Transport Plan PRO | $36b

Huge and eventually necessary. But I'd also like to see a proper train line to the airport in that as well other than the spasmodic J1 service Tram line to the airport is a part of the West Link. Pretty keen to see a lot of this happen. Wonder if Tony "roads roads roads" Abbott aka the In...

Mid-2014 Judging by the amount of work they still have to do, they will need a very powerful magic wand to get it all done by then. I go up and down it everyday and they have barely scratched it since June. Been doing more bridge work than anything. Am thinking more like November and December 2014 ...

Re: News & Discussion: National Broadband Network

Got my NBN up and running and absolutely love it. With 13 different points throughout the house to choose from plus can have 4 different connections plugged in at once and the rest can be wireless, it certainly is great when downloading. Speedtest the other day and had 93mbps with about 40mbps upload.

Fred Phillis and Melbourne-based architect Robert Caulfield are in the early stages of designing a building that could dwarf the city's tallest building, Westpac House which stands at 132 metres. Re: News & Discussion: O-Bahn

Put the mercs (what's left of them) back onto the O'Bahn and be done with it. No bus is quite like em.

Rode R567 the other night and it sounds as good as new.

[U/C] Re: ONH: Tea Tree Plaza Upgrade | $190m

Does anyone remember TTP back in the late 80's and early 90's in the food court when there was a man man creek and bridge? As a child I was fascinated by it all back then but then they got rid of it and was so disappointed. It had small plants and everything. Does anyone have any photos of this? Loo...

Re: U/C: $15.6m Aquadome Elizabeth Upgrade

Dragging up an old thread here, been a while since I have posted! But I feel compelled to do so here... I'm all for development and exciting changes (which is why i joined this site many years ago) but what they have done here with the Aquadome is a disaster. It is very sad to see such a fantastic f...

Re: Post your practical ideas to stay cool in a heatwave?

Hi all, long time no post! Phenomenal stuff, I'm originally from Adelaide but now in Darwin, a bit a pissed I can't experience this because I love heat, more for the records only however. Adelaide today has had the 11th consecutive day over 35C and the 9th consecutive day in a row over 100F. The 11 ...

On thursday arvo I noticed a massive amount of smoke coming from a north window or vent of CC1, was definitely smoke, some workers probably started a small fire.

I'm all for development etc, but I think its a disgrace that these trees were cut down. Such a nice littlr area, in the core of the CBD, nice big trees, shade open space and generally such a nice little spot totally ruined. Could have put this elsewhere. My fav part of the city is gone.
