[COM] Re: Goodwood/Springbank/Daws Road Intersection Upgrade
Ooh, thanks for posting that. Need to watch my speed coming down there. Too easy to be over the limit and do 70 km/h all the way from the expressway exit over the bridge to Ayliffes, Fiveash and Goodwood Rd.

[PRO] Re: Westfield Marion (2019/20 Extension)
Hopefully a new multi level. Westfield Marion has a serious lack of undercover parking. It’s chaos trying to find an undercover park when it’s busy especially if it’s raining. Nobody likes having to park outside and walk through the rain on a rainy day, and it’s also not fun on a blisteringly hot da...

Re: News & Discussion: Roads & Traffic
While I wouldn't say no to a shared use overpass at Majors/Black, I can't see a scenario where that would be funded. The best we're likely to get is a separate button to activate "green person" and "green bike" lights. My personal preference for a grade separation of a shared use...

[U/C] Re: Ovingham Level Crossing Removal | $231m
This level crossing replacement seems to be coming along quite quickly. I was surprised to see a sign saying completion date March 2023. Compared with at the overpass installation for R2P at Regency Road, once the bridge went in, it seemed to open to traffic within just a month or two. On the other ...

The Adelaide Hills Messenger has a new article up with the latest proposal for a train to Mt Barker. [U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway
Heading north in the tunnels and on the surface road, there will be signs directing to Airport and City at the Anzac Highway offramp. The lanes marked Airport will leave the motorway and meet traffic lights where you will continue across Anzac Highway onto the South Road surface road, from which you...

[U/C] Re: Ovingham Level Crossing Removal | $231m
The freight line surely remains open most of the time. If so the Ovingham level crossing removal project would need occasional line closures to prevent freight trains passing through when they need to work around/over the line.

[PRO] Re: Glen Osmond/Fullarton Road Intersection Upgrade | $35m
Northbound towards the city, you will still be able to make the left turn from Fullarton Road into Glen Osmond road. The turns that are being removed are the ones where you turn more than 90° and end up going partially ‘backwards’ to your original direction of travel. This will mostly impact access ...

[PRO] Re: Glen Osmond/Fullarton Road Intersection Upgrade | $35m
Updated concept plan released November 2021. Of note: No right turns from Fullarton Road into Glen Osmond Road in both directions. New traffic lights at intersection of Glen Osmond Road and Main Avenue, moved 50-60 metres south-east. New traffic lights for pedestrian actuated (push button) crossing ...

Re: News & Discussion: Cycling
My hope is for the paths along Dequetteville Tce to be continued south, continuing next to Fullarton Rd, down to the corner of Greenhill Rd. There's not even a proper footpath along either side of Fullarton Rd, and no bike lanes either.

Re: News & Discussion: Roads & Traffic
I wonder why $13.2 million is allocated to the Goodwood and Torrens Rail Junction Project. I thought these were both complete? Unless we're finally getting the promised overpass for the Mike Turtur Bikeway? It might be for completing the pedestrian level crossing at the Torrens Junction in North Ad...

That would be a strange route. And rather disastrous to the amenity of the linear parks.

Despite the [COM] flag on this topic, there are still people working on it. The FAQ on the opening says that "Finishing works will continue which may require some lane and speed restrictions, and a temporary closure, to ensure the safety of motorists and workers accessing the site." and &q...

[U/C] Re: North-South Motorway
Cars waiting to turn right at ridiculously small intersections is the bane of my driving life. On major roads like Unley Road, many cars park in the left lane, while others block the right lane while waiting to make right turns at every little cross street, making it very hard for through traffic to...

Re: News & Discussion: Roads & Traffic
I'm glad to see the slip lanes go. Several years ago I was in a near miss at the slip lane from West Terrace turning left into Currie Street. The cars were stopped in traffic and I was on my bike proceeding through the slip lane to the left of the stopped cars. One of the stopped cars was a parent d...
