[U/C] Re: North-South Motorway

Whatever they do, it's crucial it's at least 3x3 lanes. We already made the mistake decades ago with not implementing the MATS plan, let's not repeat history by not future proofing this motorway. Videos seem to have 2x3 lanes in a trench, but only 2x2lanes in tunnels. I might accept that more water...

[U/C] Re: North-South Motorway

Yes very concerned that the PR clips showing only 2 lanes each way. There’s a bit of a track record repeating here (remember the “one way freeway”) but this time not the sort of stuff up that can easily be fixed later.

[U/C] Re: ONH: Former LeCornu Redevelopment | 20m | 6lvls | Mixed

I see the Advertiser and local rag claim North Adelaide residents are against this, who are these North Adelaide residents? I live at North Adelaide and no ones asked me! They obviously keep asking the same half dozen who oppose everything including Adelaide Oval and foot bridge. There's about 7,000...

The more of the city under uni buildings the better! It brings people international income and keeps it vibrant.

Shame the rowing shed were not replaced with some space in the basement of the new convention centre with some shared bar facilities.

[U/C] Re: ONH: Former LeCornu Redevelopment | 20m | 6lvls | Mixed

Have to agree Ben - it seems, to put it loosely, 'all over the place' - architectural continuity and style don't excite me. the previous design held as certain European timelessness about it - far more in keeping with surrounding bldg styles. However, glad to see SOMETHING could be happening at las...

[U/C] ONH: Former LeCornu Redevelopment | 20m | 6lvls | Mixed Use

Always a lot of criticism of this site, but at least the owner has always had a vision. The site is hemmed by a hedge of shrubs and really Doesn't look that bad. I am sure I could take photos of a hundred worse sites around the Adelaide CBD, derelict buildings, empty car yards, old empty sheds and w...

I like the fact that it does not look like an urban shopping centre, it's eclectic mix of buildings makes it interesting

Re: Poll pledge: Libs would bid for 2018 Commonwealth Games

From $1 billion to $2 billion in just one day! SA needs this like a hole in the head. We need a mining lead recovery not a $2 billion sports circus. SA must keep investing in wealth generating infrastructure to get our mining boom off the ground. We need port upgrades, rail links, desalination plant...

Re: Poll pledge: Libs would bid for 2018 Commonwealth Games

This is not the infrastructure SA needs. We must to get our mining boom off the ground first, not to spend $1 Billion in sporting facilities. Our priority should be port upgrades, rail links, a power interconnector from Roxby to Queensland, schools, hospitals, regional development, weirs and lochs, ...
