Re: AFL Magic Round in Adelaide
You could do a Showdown that round which would save a ground for another game. Presumably Adelaide Oval would be used atleast twice, probably Thursday and Saturday night

[VIS] Re: New Womens and Childrens Hospital
If you look at Google/Apple Maps, there is land set aside for a second runway at Adelaide Airport, approx 1.2km north-west of the current main runway. The flight path for this would take it approx over the Entertainment Centre at Hindmarsh. If there was ever a constraint on taller buildings in the ...

Re: Portrush Rd/South Eastern Freeway intersection discussion.
Ah yes, here it is again, one of Adelaide's most disastrous planning mistakes of the last century coming back to bite hard. Yes, I know that last bingle was an unlicensed driver, but it's still a miracle no one was killed this time around. It never ceases to disgust me that the plans in the mid 90'...

Coupled Citadis 305 trams such as used in Sydney carry a total of 420 passengers. Perfect....if you are going to replace already built infrastructure then change the O-bahn to light rail. Get rid of way too many buses clogging up Grenfell/Currie at peak hour. Turn Grenfell/Currie into a transit mal...

Re: Adelaide Plains | Development and News
It looks like at present, the only retail fuel outlet in Virginia is X Convenience. Have I missed a competitor? Streetview says there used to be a couple of bowsers at Nowa Agricultural across the road from Woolworths, but that looks like it's been closed for years. I'm not sure if there are conven...

Re: Beer Garden
Such a sudden end for the freeway. Really needs an overpass with an on ramp and multiple off ramps. One time, I did an Adelaide model in Cities Skylines and this interchange improved my traffic flow from 62% to 70%. When I upgraded Cross Road into a 4 lane elevated expressway to the North/South Mot...

Re: Riverlea (Buckland Park) | 12,000 dwellings | $3b
I believe the built version of the Northern Connector left a railway reservation on its western side (earlier designs had it in the middle). It's intended for re-routing the interstate line not a new metro line though. I don't know where(or if) an allowance has been made to get it across Port Wakef...

Re: Riverlea (Buckland Park) | 12,000 dwellings | $3b
So genuine question. But the $90m earmarked for Port dock extension (yes I'm against it, it's pork barrelling at its finest and with no real business case for it, alternatives should be assesed) Surely that money would be better spend trying to get rail to this development and the surrounding areas...
