Re: If you want to live in a big, lively booming city......

^^^^ Cruel World I agree with everything you said in your post, and as I said I am leaving Adelaide for selfish reasons, pure and simple. But having said that, dont make me out to be a bad guy, because belive me im not the first one who has done so. Unfortunatelly people in general are selfish being...

Re: If you want to live in a big, lively booming city......

Come on Cruise, you know as well as anyone on here that it isnt as easy as packing everything up leaving the next day and moving interstate or overseas. Let me enlighten you a little from someone who is about to leave for London this year. As you have said, I am one of those people who think that Ad...

[CAN] Re: #Approved: Spire Living - 107m, 37 lvls

did i read that the building will be just over 137 metres tall..? is that a mistake, i thought the building was below the height of Wespac House which i believed was 135metres tall...? or, would that include the height measured from the two basement levels below ground... still strange if this is t...

Re: General CBD Development

There appears to be 2 new establishments: "British India" and "The Thali Room". British India appears to be a restaurant, but what about the other one? is it a bar? Pretty sure they are both restaurants/tappas bars by day and bars by night. 99% sure they are owned by the same pe...

Re: Ideas on how to attract more people to SA?

Someone better come up with an idea on how to attract but most importantly retain people in SA, because I was having a look at the latest ABS figures and we are haemorrhaging people to interstate migration; mostly young successful people I presume. Last year we had a net loss of 3800 people to othe...

Re: #Approved : Gouger St Complex $12m

The site is almost fully fenced off now, so wouldnt be surprised if the buildings are gone by next week. This is an exciting little project, especially if the gouger street frontage consists of shops, cafes etc. Would be nice to one day have the gouger street precinct stretch all the way to west ter...

Re: cocktails + music - advice please

Yeah the two that Will recommended, though escobar is pretty quiet on friday nights, and a bit pricey, but very swanky. I think you will be lucky to find a seat at sangia friday night it is usually chockablock full of people. Botanic on north terrace is pretty cool, and the pool room is reasonably q...

Re: Adelaide City Council Threatening to Destroy Nightlife

Wow... Im gobsmacked. Another well thought out, logical proposal from the ACC. Our entertainment areas are loud, so.... lets shut them down. Great thinking......wtf??? I actually think a midnight curfew would do the trick as well, that might be the next trick up their sleeve. Seriously whats next th...

[COM] Re: #Proposed: City Central Tower 8 17 Levels

This whole development can go f**k itself. What a letdown. It wont even turn out as good as the renders, thats the sad thing. This is the most prime piece of realestate in this city being wasted on the most mediocre, uniform development i have seen. Individually these towers are pretty average, but ...

Re: Article: 10,000 new homes vision

Errrrr... guys i dont think you realise how massive this is. 1000 homes every year is massive. Given that the precinct is about 1300 apartments, this will almost match the number of apartments within that project, except every year. That means, if this does happen we will get about 9 precinct sized ...

[COM] Re: #U/C: 374-400 King William St - 47m, 11 lvls

I have just been having another look at some of the great pics taken by sam of SA Water from the Hilton Hotel and I reckon the height to the top of the glassed section of the SA Water builing (minus all the plant room stuff) is similar to the 45-47 metre height of this building. Even the podium hei...

[COM] Re: #Proposed : 115 King William Street - 24 lvl - 90m

The new render: http://pascotpropertydevelopers.com.au/_data/docs/115kwlrg.jpg Looks like its down to about 60m now, cause the Adam internet building next to it is 48m or 49m. All these scaled back projects are really starting to piss me off now. It does however, look much nicer than the previous p...

[CAN] Re: #Proposed: 105 Waymouth St - 60m, 16 lvls

Renders of this one are on the developers website if anyone wants to check them out. Looks very similar to the CityCentral building to be honest. Also a redesigned version of 115 KWS is on the site, looks like its been scaled back to about 60m. If somebody wants to post them feel free - pascotproper...

[COM] Re: #Proposed: City Central Tower 8 17 Levels

So this is the so called 'landmark' tower? No shit. We were meant to get a landmark tower, possibly Adelaides tallest, or at least over 100m. Now we are getting another 65m tower, with little to no impact on the skyline, because i imagine it will get 'drowned out' by CC1 sad to say..... sigh, snork...

[COM] Re: #Proposed: 413-427 King William St - 13 level

Love the building. As others have said, pity its so close to Optus though. If this gets built, im so applying for a job at hills, just so I can use that skygarden/balcony thing. Just curious, how is this gonna get approved when its some 50% over height limit? Because of this, any chance Makris might...
