Re: Adelaide Station to close for a month
Key word being BELAIR LINE , referring to the passenger line terminating at Belair, not the freight line running parallel to it and continuing past Belair... These two lines operate separately to each other. One does not impact on the other in any way except for where the Freight line crosses the N...

[COM] Re: #U/C: Southern Expressway duplication | $445m | 22km
They've also got cranes just by the Marion Road exit. Does anyone know if these are doing anything of significance? As part of the Expressway duplication, and the New Marion Rd entry/Exit point. The water main that runs to the large tank on the corner of Marion & South Rds, needs to be shifted....

Re: Adelaide Station to close for a month
For the Convention Centre extension, the work should be scheduled to confine the hazardous movements to nights when the trains aren't running. The occasional weekend closure may be justified, but an eztended closure during the time when lots of people work in the City certainly isn't. And I think y...

Some photos of Today's Works. The Last gap to be Filled on the Onkaparinga Valley Rail Bridge. Usually when the Northern Spans are pushed out, River Road is closed, usually with message boards about a week in advance. So far no signs have been spotted. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7252/7780401378_0...

Hi all, Got a chance today to have a good look at the progress of works. Re: #UC: Noarlunga - Seaford rail extension
thanks for your photo updates 85trainfan. This project is almost on its final stages. When is the full electrification going to completed because at this rate the extension will be completed before we get new electric trains and we wont have enough existing trains to cover the new extension. One wo...

Re: Electrification and Resleepering of suburban rail networ
Looking at the latest NearMap, it seems like they are prepping the Tonsley Line for duplication. What do you guys think? The current works on the Tonsley line are Signal cable replacement (to cope with Electrification) and Drainage works. Anther interesting item to note, the Points leading into the...

[COM] Re: #U/C: Southern Expressway duplication | $445m | 22km
Without wanting to sound naive, but why do they need to close south road for the blasting? Surely debris wouldn't make it's way to south road from the expressway. That's if I am thinking of the correct location. I'm assuming it's the south road hill as you past the Victoria hotel, yes? South Rd was...

Re: Electrification and Resleepering of suburban rail networ
Electrification works are continuing on the Noarlunga Centre line (Should start calling it the "Seaford Line") A small work site has been setup south of Christies Downs station, on the down track, with 2 piles of poles already onsite, and a small area leveled (looks just about the right si...
