I am still waiting for some sign of work starting on the train to Flinders Medical Centre. This is a project from last year.
Work has started. Just not very much of it.

Re: U/C: Electrification & Upgrade of the Adelaide Rail Network

By the looks of it no. Those temporary blocks like they had near the HJs appear to be being put up north of Sturt road

Re: Building Aircraft Warning Lights - Synchronised, but how?

The knowledge of Sensational Adelaide members is pretty impressive so I'm sure someone will know the answer to this. On Friday I was at the Palais on the Torrens with the amazing backdrop of (amongst others) the UniSA and Adelaide Uni Medical buildings on North Terrace and very impressive they are ...

Preliminary work on relocating services has commenced on Sturt Rd in preparation to extend the rail line to Flinders Medical Centre. The current end of the line is in the back ground.
Do we know if this is for the train line and not associated with the road works?

You're right, I missed the massive rail bridge in the background [emoji38] The conduit bridge in the foreground does look a bit like the Hawker St footbridge, to be fair. That's poor design imo. If they need to do repairs to whats inside it, for whatever reason, they are going to have to clos...

Re: News & Discussion: Trams

The axle loads on the Flexities is about the same as an H car fully laden. So, it's a puzzle. Isn't there more cars so more axles on the new trams? A single pressure point load is important but also the total load is important for a bridge. A coupled set of H cars is plenty heavy and 8 axles. Plus,...
