Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines
Are there any developments in a possible American route to Adelaide? Which airline and route would take Adelaide on? I would think Delta or America because Delta and American both have orders for the A350-900 next year which can reach here from LA. I also know the 777-200LR can reach here, so Delta...

To Llessur, Rev and ChillyPhilly and others please send more pictures. I was coming along South Rd from Regency Rd heading south last Sunday but I lost the plot and grave up at Port Rd . Everyting just ground to halt. Will try to take a walk round this weekend and see what's going on. It looks real...

[U/C] Re: News & Discussion: South Road / North-South Corridor
So it appears that traffic getting on and off the southern portion does so at James Congdon and traffic getting on and off the northern portion does so at Sir Donald Bradman. If you are coming from the north and want to get off to go to the CBD you do so at Port/Grange Road or the next inerchange w...

Why right turns onto Port Road are being forced to become u-turns, I can not fathom..

Ah, this went away for a while but now it's back: http://infrastructure.sa.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0006/172248/Project_Assessment_Report-_Supplement.pdf Lots of interesting info in here if you haven't already read it - including addition of extra on/off ramps just north of Port Road, the prel...

Re: News & Discussion: Road Issues & Traffic Congestion
Blackwood Roundabout - the worse in the state, now that the Britannia has been solved. The only solution is to make it bigger, but that's a bit hard. Considering the whole suburb has barely been upgraded since the 90's, road projects are of secondary importance. I wouldn't exactly term the Britanni...

The bigger question is.... where does DPTI see the SE Freeway connecting with the NS Motorway? Got to be either Emerson via Cross rd, or Richmond via Greenhill and Glen Osmond Rds. I have posted on why the latter is better, also extending down to the airport, but I recall reading about the plans fo...

[U/C] Re: News & Discussion: South Road / North-South Corridor
South Road/Daws Road is the worst intersection that I know of. A roundabout is the best and in my view, the cheapest solution. You're right, it's a terrible intersection and that chunk of South Road around Edwardstown is horrible even outside of peak times. But an roundabout? Really? Do you want to...

In this article (http://www.abc.net.au/news/2015-06-28/bald-hills-interchange-sod-turned-jamie-briggs-stephen-mullighan/6578614) about the new Bald Hills Rd Freeway interchange, there is a small section hinting that funding for the Northern Connector could soon be on its way. Mr Briggs said it woul...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines
Why not Cross Road in that case? Offtopic, but here goes.... I have often thought the same. There are difficulties with both. Aside from the simple airport extension, my thinking is that Richmond/Greenhill/Glen Osmond is better due to i) the presence of parklands along much of the corridor allowing...
