Re: Lost Events
Can we as a city and a state please stop this crap about the grand prix? I honestely think it makes us look childish and immature. There's not really been that much said about it... besides, this is about lost events, and the grand prix is the biggest of them all. Hopefully we get it back one day w...

Awkrard for me then... Perhaps the other one is 20-22 Currie Street then since it's listed as on hold rather than cancelled.spiller wrote:2-20 flinders st is the one in Vic square I was referring to. Its more or less in Vic square anyway

This will dominate the surroundings! Here's to hoping it goes up and has a flow on effect for more height in the city west of westpac house! I know the building in Vic square is the other 100+ proposal, what is the third? Which is the Victoria Square building? 2-20 Flinders Street (100m) is probabl...

Oh wait Toy R Us are closing down in the city, just realised it maybe Adelaide does need a toy store but my point still stands.

[PRO] Re: #ONH: Westfield Marion Expansion | $280m | 150,000sqm
Anyone have any idea why Toys R Us aren't at Marion? They are the only big retailer who aren't represented. The ex Cheap as Chips store (now Cotton on Clothing) would have been an ideal size for them. Marion lacks a decent toy store in my view. Toys R Us have got their megastore in Rundle Mall so I...

[COM] Re: General Rundle Mall Development & Progress Thread
A carousal would do nothing for Rundle Mall aside from the occasional ride from a child who's parents spoil their children Why doesn't Adelaide consider building a modern ferris wheel either on the Torrens or on the Glenelg coastline, that would be A LOT more successful

Re: Birmingham City Centre
I'm originally from both Nottingham and Leicester, so Birmingham was like our big brother city. Unfortunately Birmingham is quite like Adelaide in the sense that many, many projects are proposed, and few get off the ground. In recent years they have experienced change like Adelaide, though many of t...

Re: Ideas regarding the future of aviation to Adelaide
Is Air Australia really Strategic's LCC? I thought it was just their new name. I'm 99.9% certain that Air Australia is Strategic Airlines rebrand, and not an entirely new airline. They're doing it in order to become more recognisable as an Australian airline. I'd love them to come to Adelaide, but ...

[CAN] Re: PRO: 123 Flinders Street| 75m | 22Lvl | Mixed-Use
If this building is refused then its just further proof of why Adelaide should either abolish or increase the height restrictions. I preferred the initial height of the building, 78m made it something different, rather than eventually being the fifth 75m building in the city.

[COM] Re: Adelaide Convention Centre, Casino & Riverbank Developme
the designs average, and like ben said its pretty uninspiring. It looks like its aimed entirely towards the business market rather than that of tourism. Also, they should consider redeveloping the opposing sporting facilities (not just the oval), especially the main tennis facility.

[COM] Re: #PRO: 122 Grenfell Street - Hotel - 18 Levels
I like the design without being particularly thrilled, and though I'd love to see a high rise building be constructed on that site, I think that the design needs to be far more iconic, in fact it's quite disappointing coming from Pruszinski. Still, hopefully once some other larger renders are availa...

Quite true, also it unfortunately looks like its more so 30m than 40m. As for the design I like it and prefer it to the first design, though the second one is still my personal favourite.omada wrote:It's all very Mawson Lakes
