Re: News & Discussion: Metropolitan Developments
Actually, if you read through the West Torrens Council's Housing Diversity DPA - all along the tram corridor has been rezoned medium density - 4 storeys maximum with the potential for 5 storeys if certain land amalgamation criteria are met. The whole of Plympton - this is not just along Anzac Highwa...

Re: U/C: Electrification & Upgrade of the Adelaide Rail Netw
Thanks Maximus, for the others who ceebs reading it - basically the gist of the story is that in order to recieve Federal funding, the SA Government is to pay for the project itself, and upon completion of project milestones, the money is then reimbursed by the Feds. Because of the dire situation of...

Councillor Plumridge and the Adelaide City Council; How many times do you need to be reminded that whilst you may be elected by some 22,000 consituents whom reside within the Adelaide City Council boundaries, you have a responsibility to govern for 1.2 million residents in the Greater Adelaide regio...

Re: News & Discussion: Laneway Revitalisation Projects
Meanwhile in Peel Street, large windows have been installed on the eastern side of the former Fletcher Jones heritage building for new shopfronts. A vast improvement on what was there before. Peel Street holds a lot of potential to be more of an intimate laneway much like James Place is. Is it just ...

Bank Street upgrade is expected to be finished by 27 February 2013. Very speedy construction work if that's the case! Looking forward to the end result also. I will try and take a photo or two of the works once complete.

Oh come now people, most members did not shed a tear at the demise of the heritage buildings that were razed to make way for this lovely piece of architecture. So no complaining now, you have what you wanted. I can't really work out what people are complaining about (I don't see a blank wall in tho...

Pretty sure the State Government already has plans for a multi storey car park adjacent the interchange. I would venture to say that while Westfield will build a 2 storey facility, it should be built to engineering specifications to support 5 storeys should yjr need warrant it in future.

hideous...i am of the opinion that if a developer builds next to a heritage building the adjoining wall must not be blank. I agree with you 110% there Mants. But if I just may point out, there is a teeny tiny shop that has been left intact in between the heritage listed Adelaide Arcade and the new ...

Going by what I can see, the blank western wall appears set back from the western property boundary, so why is there even the need for a blank western wall at all?
