Re: News & Discussion: Roads & Traffic

It was a singe right turn lane into a two lanes, I can choose either lane to turn into. From NSW but the rule is the same https://www.rms.nsw.gov.au/images/roads/safety-rules/roadru...

[COM] Re: Northern Connector | 14km | $1b

It rather depends on what you mean by "open". I can foresee a situation where, due to political pressure, they open the northbound\southbound carriageways before completion of all the off ramps and on ramps. The main carriageway through the southern interchange is close to completion. The ...

Below is the photo from the 29 July 2019 article in the advertiser. It appears to be about 2 months old and generated from commercial aerial photography .. so much for the "exclusive". Still a lot of work to do. I don't think they will be opening it ahead of schedule like the T2T. http://w...

[U/C] Re: Torrens Road Grade Separation

Perhaps the answer is to build 2 separate but parallel bridges using the existing reserves on the north side to allow for left turns from Churchill Rd into Torrens Rd and from Torrens Rd into Churchill Rd. The existing right hand lanes for traffic turning right from Torrens Rd into Churchill Rd woul...

Re: News & Discussion: Other Metropolitan Developments

Original designs for the dry creek salt pans can be found at https://www.inciteproperty.com.au/projects . A bit unbelievable. It has a light rail link (which appears to utilise a new heavy rail corridor) but what it links to is a mystery. There is a marina but the entrance is via Barker Inlet and un...

Re: News & Discussion: Public Transport Service & Policy

history here and across all of Australia (usually) shows it is Labor Governments who undertake the works that dramatically increase public transport usage ... I believe that SA's most heavily utilised public transport corridor is the O-Bahn and that was built by the Libs. Given that the Libs have h...

This is happening now, actually southbound has been diverted onto a new lane down the median
I don't get that. Ryan Rd and Old Port Wakefield Rd are only about 150m apart and well north of the roadworks. What am I missing?

[COM] Re: Northern Connector | 14km | $1b

I wonder if they will divert trafiic across the waterloo corner interchange and then up the NC northbound carriageway when they do the roadworks to connect the southbound carriageway of NEXY to the NC and\or complete the overpass for northbound traffic on Pt Wakefield Rd.
