Here are some Photo's of the Thebarton Tram Stop on Port Road and how "Unfinished" it is, at least in parts. These were taken on the 14th & 15th of April with a one cam, so apologies for the poor quality. IMG00024-20100414-1723.jpg IMG00028-20100414-1725.jpg IMG00029-20100414-1725.jpg

Notice also that it says "bike lanes are for the exclusive use of cyclists", but drivers routinely interpret "avoiding an obstruction" to include getting around people in their lane that are turning right. Ahhh... The Forth bullet point above actually states that this is allowed...

I don't know about the other stops on the extension, but the Thebarton Stop certainly feels rushed. The Biggest annoyance is the platform paving, it's uneven and dirty, in that the pavers doesn't seem to sit flush with each other and there's a lot of debris around. There are also a lot of gaps betwe...

I can understand the whole road detours thing; but why couldn't the wacky diversion have been the road detour whilst they rebuilt the existing road? Because then they'd have to build two roads for each intersetion. One for the temp rd and one for the final overpass. Note other bridges around Adelai...

I would have thought that if you were considering an extension of the tram line to Adelaide Oval, you wouldn't stop there, but run it right through past the cathedral and the Hospital to O'Connel Street to service the businesses and residents in that area and provide them with a direct and efficient...

We received the following information in a letter from the project director for the Tram Line project at work this week: "I wish to advise that tram tracks will be installed at the Port Road/James Congdon Drive/George Street intersection, Thebarton, between 7pm Friday 15 January and 6am Monday ...

I am talking about the finished stuff. The road opposite Coke factory, West end brewery etc. The one they have spent months building. Its not a smooth ride what so ever. Serious f*ck up, or it has something to do with the tram? Merely pointing it out cause it pisses me off every day. The question i...

If you catch public transport, of any kind, during peak periods - then expect to stand, and if you get a seat that's a bonus. Totally agree. Also agree. To expect everyone to have a seat during peak periods is ludicrous and would require a lot more money to be spent on vehicles and operators. As lo...
