[U/C] Re: Westfield Tea Tree Plaza (Extension)

The TTP extension blew me away when I first saw it, very keen now for them to hurry up and start the 2nd stage of it ie the retail expansion. Seems like a perfect time now that half of the old Tea Tree Plus is empty, hopefully after Christmas it might finally get underway. The plans I have seen, st...

I went there today for the first time since the redevelopment.
Wow, it's awesome. They even have live music.
The Lux cinema I think is going to be a regular for us.

Now to make my way through each of the restaurants, 1 down, many to go.

They have cut down a number of trees and are clearing the land today.

Edit: Portable buildings set up on the land now.

Re: News & Discussion: O-Bahn

In Sydney I noticed that to spare themselves converting bitumen to concrete roads entirely, they'd simply turned the outer lane for a lot of their major roads into concrete surfaced bus lanes, the same could be done here. However I feel as though there is intent behind the State Government and ACC ...

No doubt Primo have their place in the North East, but they're going to stand out like the proverbial in among the restaurants in the new precinct. When people have the choice of the likes of TGI Friday's, Bangkok Boulevard, or Primo, you know who's going to be the last preference every day of the ...

[COM] Re: SAHMRI Stage 2

I do think Adelaide should be one of those destinations - but for a $200M facility where the proton beam (in a massive bunker under it) will cost probably best part of $100M of that sum, with expected "savings" of $2M per year - doesn't seem the best use of limited funds. I'm trying to sa...

Re: News & Developments: Elizabeth & Salisbury

I wonder why Aldi is looking at going here rather than Parabanks. ALDI wants to build a new $6.8m supermarket and shopping centre in the heart of Salisbury. An application to build the shops — on Park Tce — has been lodged with the State Commission Assessment Panel. A large home and two trees at the...

I wonder what impact this will have on the already dead space that is Tea Tree Plus, along with any expansion plans. https://www.afr.com/business/retail/toys-r-us-australia-to-be-wound-up-20180620-h11n1v More than 700 employees of Toys 'R' Us Australia will lose their jobs after administrators decid...

There was a segment on Today Tonight about Kaufland, people protesting against it.

The segment is full of sensational garbage about evil trees because of small blocks, but I thought I would share it anyway.

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines

Looks very nice, but for such a small building, I thought it would be one year construction time at most (instead of three years). I have no idea about construction times, but I assume having a lot of restricted areas would make construction take longer than usual. I wish they would have added show...

The state government should buy a TBM and just start digging, similar to Elon's Boing Company. QLD bought two years ago http://statements.qld.gov.au/Statement/Id/70740 They were only used for that project though. This would allow tunnelling around the city to be an on-going cost, rather than a proje...
