[COM] Re: PRO: [Plympton] Highway Inn | 8lvls | 34m | Hotel
I would have thought an overpass would be far more economical than an underpass at this location. The South Road tram overpass would be a good model to follow. We are too obsessed with underpasses. I agree Eurostar it's a great location between the CBD and Glenelg. The development doesn't look tacky to me, especially considering it is located in a standard mid-suburban location, without water frontage etc. It needs to be affordable. I agree even more about the need for a tram overpass over Mar...

Re: Glenelg | Developments & News
Holdfast Bay Council is definitely the most conservative Council in Adelaide at the moment, beats Mitcham and Burnside hands down. The DAP often refuses a majority of the applications that go before it when these proposals are recommended for approval. We are talking garages, dwellings etc. The cons...

Fairly decent skyline impact, however it would have been great if it was closer ro it's original approved height or higher. Photo taken last Friday:

The office in Flinders Street is the Santos 'world headquarters' ghs. The 100 job cuts don't mean much in terms of office accommodation. They are cutting 100 'old jobs' and actually increasing 'new jobs' next year by hundreds. They are currently expanding in the Cooper Basin to take advantage of inc...

Same old storey for Adelaide. That development in Brisbane is 62,000sqm and around 157m. BHP is taking up only 16,000sqm and other tenants 7,000sqm. Just shows the different markets in Adelaide and Brisbane for Brisbane to have so much space being constructed without commitment. BHP currently occupi...

I agree with Pikey here, it is the quality of the renders that doesn't help this one. I think it will actually end up looking rather interesting.

I agree Vee. This issue is a pet hate of mine as it seems to happen on a lot of major projects. The government goes to all the expense of providing decent landscaping, then it doesn't get maintained. It only seems to get looked after at the last minute once it's almost all dead. Then they have to sp...
