Re: News & Discussion: Regional Transport

Murray Bridge and Bordertown do not deserve rail services, based on their population and therefore the number of people travelling to Adelaide. Re: News & Discussion: Regional Transport

The demise of the overland really seemed to accelerate once they started diverting through Geelong. It is just too slow and indirect. I cant understand why a city of 5 million and a city of 1.3 million only 700km apart cannot make a regular daily service work, or even twice daily especially in foot...

Re: News & Discussion: Electricity Infrastructure

Re: News & Discussion: Electricity Infrastructure

I still think recipients of government handouts for batteries should be obliged to be part of some sort of vpp (virtual power plant) whether it is the South Australian government scheme or the proposed Labor scheme. Having hundreds of megawatts of extra power during heatwaves would be of great benef...

Re: News & Discussion: Electricity Infrastructure

Now a Canadian battery manufacturer is setting up in South Australia (following a Chinese company doing the same thing) The South Australian's government battery subsidy scheme has been the catalyst for that. Hopefully the Canadians and Chinese will follow the Sonnen example of making Adelaide the h...

Will add somewhat to the cost but still be a heck of a lot cheaper than light rail. But no doubt much more expensive than conventional BRT.......run long bendy...
