Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail

So it’s all of Rundle Place that is going to be sold to the Sydney investment group Fortius. I initially thought it was just the Harris Scarfe space. Apparently 23% of the centre is vacant and they might remix existing tenancies whatever that means. They also said Rundle Place was “remarkably simil...

Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail

Move out Sussan and Ted Baker on the ground floor - and have 2 level Uniqlo or Zara overlook onto Rundle Mall, same as Westfield Sydney. Put in escalators and glass lift into this new tenancy and direct up to level 1. Would be quite impactful and prominent having a Uniqlo/Zara on one side and Apple ...

Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail

The PalaceNova is always busy and was recently expanded. The reason G U Film house is not successful in my opinion, is its undesirable location. The cinemas themselves are probably the best in Adelaide in terms of quality, yet you literally have to walk past strip clubs and through shisha bars to g...

Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail

Big W are tightening up their network and closing stores, there's no way they would or should go to the CBD. Brickworks and Cumberland Park are 10 min away. That's the thinking I'm talking about Sent from my SM-J730G using Tapatalk Am all for trying new ideas and concepts but we actually know Big W...

Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail

Writing has been on the wall for a while. It’s what happens when your only customer base is essentially 50+. Can tell you now, generally speaking, no female between 18 - 40 would be shopping much at Harris Scarfe, only their grandmothers would. They’re the ones going to Seed, Country Road, H&M a...

That shot definitely makes Adelaidean look more prominent than Westpac. Can't wait for Sofitel to pop its head up on the right side.

Cheers for the pics.

The new Hype store looks good. Great spot for it.

Another good spot would have been the soon to be Chemist Warehouse store

Easy answer to that is the smaller population.

Over 1,000 people queued for it this morning. The brand power of these stores is crazy.

Sephora opening 9am Thursday 10th October. Rundle Mall becoming a great destination with key retailers, went through it yesterday it was buzzing, has a really good feel about it. Few points for discussion - Noticed the old Telstra store at the city cross entrance is completely gutted to a shell, won...

This is a bit of a shame. Would have been good to integrate it, like how QT Sydney use the old theatre. Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail

Seriously what a fkn wasted opportunity for an iconic retail space at the entrance to the Mall.

I feel like Rundle Mall Management Authority should have some kind of power and say into appropriate precincting and retail mix.

Who owns the Unihouse building?
