Re: Flexity 104 damages overhead

Great Shots Bill nothing like being in the right place at the right time!I guess Trams to and from the Entertainment Centre would have had to terminate at Stop 12 for quite a while.Did they have buses to complete the journey to Glenelg? They did have busses - 5 or 6 small and mid size uints were sh...

General Public Transport thread

Easter Friday (2/4/2010), around 8:30 in the morning, Flexity 104's pantograph had difficulty with the overhead just to the west of stop 12 causing significant damage to the panto (and some damage to the overhead). From the set of the points, it appears that 104 had just left the depot on its way to...

Re: H Class Tourist Shuttle

H367 tram has just 3 days left of its Free service between Moseley Square Glenelg and Morphett Road stop 12 (no service on Good Friday). Its future at Glengowrie Depot would appear to be in doubt-the same for H370.. Hi bay transit, a couple of depot people today told us that H367 will still be runni...

Re: Glenelg Tram upgrade (#UC: South Rd Overpass)

Hey BillD, do you mind if I post the first photo on SSC? No worries AtD, and at the risk of sounding ignorant... what is SSC ? There are no signs on any of the stops about the new timetable commencing next Monday-22nd March. You're correct 'bay transit', I just went for a walk to stops 12 & 13 ...

Re: Glenelg Tram upgrade (#UC: South Rd Overpass)

Here are a couple more from stop 6's opening day. You might notice in these two shots that there is a covered-up apparatus attached to one of the canopy supports in the distance. It appeared to have blue flashing lights attached and may be a security zone similar to those found on Sydney's undergrou...

Re: #U/C: Port Adelaide Tram Line

Here are a few shots from today. The first four trams were reserved for invitees but appealing to one of the nice women in charge of tickets resulted in a few for our use and we rode into town and back on the third tram. There's considerable work to be done on the first stop out of the city (Thebart...

Re: #U/C : Ent. Centre Upgrade | $50m | (2,500) | Hindmarsh

Here are three shots from Saturday night, the 6th of March 2010. The canopy was continuously cycling through different colours and patterns. The LED signs in the background were dazzling when displaying a lot of white. http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s264/billd_photo/Adel_Ent_Ctr_6-Mar-2010_5239_...

Re: Glenelg tramline movements

I didn't know where to post this so I've put it in here as it contains a tram movement (Flexity 105 heading for Glenelg).

In this shot, barricades are in place to protect contractors who will be working on the depot expansion.

Re: #U/C: Port Adelaide Tram Line

On Saturday morning (27 Feb 2010) a large testing program was carried out between 3am and 6am on the new extension. We had: Flexity's 103, 105 & 108 Citadis 203, 204 & 205 H-Type 367 At times there were six trams in the section. Several times the orange vests had three trams go to full accel...

Re: Glenelg Tram upgrade (#UC: South Rd Overpass)

It is still temporary because the bicycle way is to open yet. I thought that but why would they paint the lines on the road etc? maybe it's a while away? Pedestrian crossings must have markings done to the relevent Australian Standard (even if they're temporary). As Michael says, until the pedestri...
