[COM] Re: #Proposed: City Central Tower 8 17 Levels
Yes but give the magnitude of other office developments happening in the city at the moment, ala 400 KWS, those on Gouger/Coglin Street, Hills Building on KWS, and possible the Currie Street Tower and a few others one would have been mistified as to how they could have expected to secure tenants for...

Re: Melbourne risks becoming 'a backwater like Adelaide': Brumby
We'll in if you look at it that way Brumby, the whole of Australia including Sydney, Melbourne etc is a backwater in respect to the US, Europe and much of Asia. So get your head our of your ass because from where the rest of the world see's us it all smells like shit. Mr Brumby however wants to feel...

Re: Electrification and Resleepering of TransAdelaide Network
They have 1.8 billion for the MARJ MA HAL and 600 million for the Prisons but only $121 million for resleepering which hasnt even started yet(their waiting for winter when they can blame the weather and rain for delays)... This is absolutely disgraceful, all politicians should be forced to travel wi...

Re: Ideas on how to attract more people to SA?
I will concentrate on a few things that the Government could do but isn't Reduction or Abolishment of State Government Taxes such as Stamp Duty, Business Taxes etc Heaps of affordable housing/appartments. South Australian Housing Trust would have to come back in a big way... but this needs to be pro...

Here is the link, go to the section at the bottom down below stated Released Wednesday 23 January 2008 there is a 30MB report but the 1.79MB report below is sufficient to see that it is at SIX LEVELS http://www.planning.sa.gov.au/go/development-applications/major-development-proposals/proposals-curr...

[U/C] Re: Proposal# 88 O'Connell St - Makris dev. 6 lvl
Yes the design plan that was handed in is at 6 levels One for ground floor and then five floors hence 6 floors the only change is that those fronting the surrounding streets (Not O'Connell) have a level of 4 but move to 6 floors a bit back from the street. In effect it is the same plan with reduced ...

[COM] Re: What next for Victoria Square?
Lord Mayor Michael Harbison should stop coming up with hairbrain Wiggly ideas and quit his job and become a Wiggle. I mean what a Tosser, he first gets elected on a do nothing campaign against a totally good plan (see previous page) and now he says its time to do up Victoria Square and the design he...

[U/C] Re: Proposal# 88 O'Connell St - Makris dev. 6 lvl
Maybe those NIMBY's need to be taught a lesson How about Makris build a 3 storey shanty town which complies with the Council Height Limits and has a miss mash of different style buildings painted in all different colours one pink, one blue, one yellow, one purple, one orange etc etc... I am sure suc...

Re: Vacant City Blocks
Well, considering that in Sydney theyre tearing down 100m+ buildings to make way for new towers, and we have vacant blocks here right in the CBD, why not make Adelaide CBD one of those Economic Tax-Free Zones like they have over in the Middle East. Now I know a lot of businesses would jump to the o...

[COM] Re: #Proposed: 413-427 King William St - 13 level
one word SENSATIONAL. will definetly complement 400 KWS and possibly the
other office and appartment developments on the southern part of
KWS. I think this is clear evidence that the CBD's centre will eventually shift
from Grenfell Street to Victoria Square.

Re: Adelaide's Air Quality
probably the KI fire smoke, but the wind conditions which caused that often cause
the city to blanketed with smog in summer etc.
anyway it is ample evidence that we are too car dependant as was the case with
the article last week in saying we are Australia's most car dependant capital city.

[COM] Re: Huge announcement at 10:00 a.m
Would be totally out of the blue if it was anyone but HILLS...
For starters BHP has offices in Grenfell St so they would not be moving
into Adelaide... I reckon it is HILLS and we already know they plan
on moving into a new office building to be built next to the Optus Building
on KWS.

Re: Timetable Changes
Some confusing shit alright for example Blackwood to City bus T217 but City to Blackwood only 217 what is the damn point of making them different even if the difference is slight. Are they trying to confuse people on purpose??? Sure damn looks that way. It probably has to do something with the fact ...

Re: Adelaide's Air Quality
That picture has got to be edited by photoshop, if not that is shocking Definitely not photoshoped. I live in the southern adelaide foothills and although its looking at it from a different angle you really notice the difference between the hills and the city which has a layer of smog over it. The ...

Re: Upgrade of Adelaide Rail Network
Article in the paper about how increases in health and education are 10 times higher than those increased on public transport and road infrastructure. Its appalling considering well over $3 billion each is spent on health and $3 billion on education and less than $750 million on public transport and...
