Re: News & Discussion: Roads & Traffic
I used to live in Brighton and used the Edwards Street and Brighton Road intersection daily. It's chaos, I've had so many near misses, the vast majority was people turning right from Edwards Street almost T-boning my car. There was a very nasty accident there where a car turning right t-boned a moto...

Has anyone noticed that some of the signs on Regency to Pym are a bit weird? If you have a look at Normans video, at 1:59 and 2:09, the green signs list the roads PYM ST, TORRENS RD and HAWKER ST. in all caps. 2.34 shows how i think should be listed with it like Port Rd I thought the convention was...

[VIS] Re: Passenger Trains to Mount Barker
The District Council of Mount Barker will hit 55,000 it's already close to 40,000, an area that extends from Bull Creek to Harrogate. Half of the population is in Mount Barker, the rest spread throughout the council area. A train will only service 35,000 in the District Council of Mount Barker and t...

The building was a bit bulky. Was the development proposed in the 5 story or 12 story zone? or was it overlapping like the developer said The 12 story zone seems to end (or used to) at the laneway at the end of Saltram Road, which makes little sense, the 12 story zone should end at the suburb bounda...

Majors Road should have an interchange. It will help traffic from Brighton Road heading south and Hallett Cove heading north, it will take traffic off of Brighton and Sturt Roads.

Flinders Station needs a bus interchange, but as others have said the train drops you off a North Tce, once a city train loop is built most buses from the outer South and North will terminate in the suburbs.

You can't remove Glanville it provides access to Semaphore, it should be updated and renamed Semaphore or Semaphore Road.

Re: Riverlea (Buckland Park) | 12,000 dwellings | $3b
Only way rail would be justified would be if the salt pans got developed into housing with 20,000+ people and a train line spured off just after Dry Creek, it would have about 4 stations, the stations would be: at the new estate at the salt pans, Paralowie West, Virginia and Riverlea. The line would...

[CAN] Re: Hove Level Crossing Removal | $171m
Rail over road really is the best option here. But it should really be extended to remove the Jetty Road and Edwards Street level crossings and a new Brighton station built (about 150m north of the current station, the rail corridor is much wider there) Remove Warradale station and build Hove about ...

They should have grade seperated Womma and Curtis Roads when electrifying the Gawler make Womma Station an Park and Ride and a simple bus stop for quick transfer, people in Eyre, Davoren Park etc could get off the bus there to get the train rather than Elizabeth. It should have more frequent service...

The "1.1km lowered motorway under West Thebarton Road" means it will start around George Street. I'm guessing the tunnel will transition into a lowered motorway. I wonder how many houses in West Thebarton / East Torrensville will be lost. The scenario put up seems decent though, you need t...

Re: News & Discussion: O-Bahn
Grenfell Street should be bus only, and have one east bound lane to access the Rundle Place carpark and that road should be left turn only at Hindmarsh Square. You can widen the footpaths, have good large bus shelters and make it nice. Move all North Tce buses to the new bus corridor.

Re: New $55m pool floated for bus depot.
The site is to small for a 50m pool, it looks to be maybe 45 to 50m wide, you would need 60m+ for a 50m pool, they could use the west bit of Bowen Street which means it could go E-W or N-S (the block would be probably 70m long at the longest N-S but only 20m wide there, using Bowen Street it could b...
