CBD Crane Counter
Given all the construction going on at the moment, the expectation of plenty more to come and the apparent collective fascination of S-A members with cranes, I thought we should keep a running tally (which might also save any future arguments about how many cranes were erected during "the const...

Re: Cars and excessive speed

Because you might want to take your car to a race track, where you can go as fast as you like. Because we live in a democracy, not a communist state. Because going fast is fun! Carefu...

Re: Vision: The New Adelaide Metro Era
Norman, I haven't been round here very long, so my apologies if this has been discussed before, but your Subway Project was one of the first things I noticed when I first discovered S-A a couple of months ago. (My first ever subway experience was when I visited Germany ten years ago and I got all gi...

Re: #Vision: New Inner-City Stadium
wow! this is good news, but still very early days...Will be interested to hear Rann's response :-) Some basic sums: * SANFL receives $350m for sale of land at west lakes * SANFL was willing to spend $200 on upgrading AAMI stadium ==> that's $550m towards a new stadium!!! They are indeed basic sums,...

Re: #Vision: New Inner-City Stadium
Well, you're not the only one but obviously we have come to differing conclusions. I think having a stadium by itself would be somewhat of a missed opportunity as the main priority here has to be to make the most of the riverfront. However a stadium with an entertainment/cultural precinct would app...

Now, that's an interesting idea...!Wayno wrote:would introducing a 3rd AFL team in Adelaide make it easier to cost justify a new stadium?
I can't see it happening anytime soon, but it's a very interesting idea.

[COM] Re: #U/C: The Precinct - 5 x 62m, 19 lvl Towers
Hey team, my first post... Back on topic... Just had cause to drive past this site (literally 30 minutes ago) and I thought y'all might like to know that there was some serious concrete being poured. Tonnes of workers around, Morphett St traffic down to one lane, etc, etc. That's all for now. Lookin...
