Re: Disneyland Adelaide
We should have replacements for Luna Park, Dazzleland, Lakeside Leisure Park, Green Hills Adventure Park and Puzzle Park. Or at least A replacement. I believe even Magic Mountain was substantially better than the misspelt Beachouse. But it will not be Disneyland. The temporary ride parks that were c...

Re: Disneyland Adelaide
"The Disneyland concept was generated as a “thought bubble” during talks by the now-defunct Economic Development Board (EDB), under former Labor premier Jay Weatherill’s government. But the plot did not thicken and the idea remained a Mickey Mouse scheme, with no site considered and no approach...

Re: Superloop 500
@GreenMan are you concerned about the image a combustion engine car race gives? As the race alone will add insignificantly small amounts to the total outputs from South Australia. Very small changes to electricity generation, consumption, general car and trucks usage, industrial uses etc would make ...

Re: Petrol Station Owners
The Australian car industry was all about the large car.
Commodore, Falcon, Kingswood, etc.
The modern SUV's are mostly much thinner and slightly taller. I'm pretty sure they are smaller cars than Australia lived on from 1970-2010.

Re: Petrol Station Owners
With modern laws with so many kids in car seats there is really no choice.
An Outlander can not fit 3 kids if 1 is in a car seat.
You need a Pajero.

Re: Petrol Station Owners
I get the argument about having to cart around the kids, but seriously, three kids could comfortably fit in the back of a Mazda 3 along with the groceries in the boot. Most kids need to be in child car seats or booster seat. Eg all of them under 8 and potentially some up to 16. There is slim chance...

I think SA sealed roads is a similar problem of SA has worst ratio of distance covered vs people using it.PeFe wrote:It doesn't help that the transmission cost (poles and wires) appears to be 33% above the Australian average.

Re: Petrol Station Owners
I believe X conv golden grove and st Peter's are franchise. That does not make the X conv company any less 100% Andrash owned. Some other companies are just licensing the naming. I believe otr were looking to franchise 3 of their stores last year. I am not sure if that ever occurred. Edit: My bad Ot...

Re: SA Economy
They reduced restrictions and let Covid in, then had to quickly reintroduce restrictions over the holiday period to deal with the consequences of that, in what was transparently a case of them trying to set a political deadline to help them in the coming election over health advice. Open the gate a...

Re: SA Economy
If SA and WA weren't sucked in by "let it rip" at just the same moment Omicron emerged, we might still be able to do that. There are a bunch of other biosecurity threats that are managed as outbreaks (various diseases, fruitflies). Under your rule we would still have border restrictions, ...

Yes, masks should continue to be worn in certain high-risk settings, such as hospitals, nursing homes, doctor's clinics, airplanes. I hope when I am in of need assistance I will be able to enjoy seeing the faces of other humans including my families. Being deprived of faces for the entire end of my...
