Re: East-West Tram Link

I have actually been working on adding more detail to my route, and have considered staging of works. I came up with the following:

1. Rundle rd to West Tce
2. West Tce to Airport (to facilitate quick and easy transport between airport and CBD)
3. Rundle rd to Portrush Rd
4. Airport to Henley Square

[COM] Re: PRO: 58-76 Franklin St | 19, 16 & 10 | Office, Res and c

i actually like it, and think it looks a lot nicer than Altitude up the street. but then again i like the city central developments too (i prefer glass to precast walls). it's not too different from Conservatory at Hindmarsh (car park, glass office block, and glass and balcony residential part), exc...

Re: #APP: Adelaide metropolitan water pipeline interconnects

as a contractor who works often with SA Water, i too am interested in seeing these 3-storey pump stations!!! considering the pump station at the desal plant isnt even that big!!! and what is with the "enormous pressure-regulating valves" they are talking about??? i've seen hundreds of prv'...

Overseas inspired ideas

Here are a few photos of some ideas that caught my eye whilst overseas recently. Trams in Milan - a blend of old and new. I like how the trams have priority over other traffic, and how they dominate the inner city streets. 100_2648.JPG A square in Paris - very simple idea - an enclosed basketball ar...

Re: East-West Tram Link

Apologies for late reply - have been overseas for last few months (where I noted a few great building and infrastructure examples that could be applied here - will report soon). RayRichards, in regards to how i put the lines on the map, i just took a print-screen of the map and coped into Excel. The...

East-West Tram Link

I have put together a rough plan for a tram line that runs from the Parade at Norwoord, through the city, to the airport, and then to Henley Square. It is just a preliminary concept to get people thinking, so please feel free to offer suggestions and constructive critisicm! I have terminated the eas...

Re: Little ideas for a big city

I was just thinking that the tram extension means the tram would go from the Grand at Glenelg to a stop right outside HQ. Could there be a possibility of using an H-class as a "party tram" on Saturday nights? Some modification would be required - put in a small bar and some tables perhaps....

Re: Glenelg Wastewater Reuse Pipeline

The Pipeline officially opens tomorrow! Opening 6 months ahead of schedule. I'm not surprised only 1/3rd of the water has customers (ACC for the parklands) at this point. Suspect more customers will arise once the parklands start looking green. Warning: Typical AdelaideNow negative spin on what's a...

Re: Desalination plant for Adelaide

No, it's because the rest of the route's already there. really? do tell. I thought there was the need for a new 'large' pipeline? i've obviously missed something here... Yes you have: the idea's been scrapped, and SRW posted the news report here yesterday. The proposed link between the two reservoi...

Re: Desalination plant for Adelaide

i noticed some work happening just south of the Happy Valley reservoir on south rd. See pikkie below - the area highlighted in RED has had the pine trees removed (there were very tall piles of woodchips on site), and i saw some large diameter pipes being delivered. All presumably for the desal plan...
