[COM] Re: U/C: Adelaide Oval Redevelopment | 53,500 | $545m
Noticed the back of the top tier of the red seats section of the Western Stand is getting some work done as well - I suspect that's for the football media centre. As for the seats in front of the dining room, perhaps that's going to be a premium viewing area. Perhaps it's where the Stadium Club tick...

Too busy on their iPads to keep to a schedule  http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/news/south-australia/adelaide-bus-driver-caught-by-reader-behind-the-wheel-while-reading-ipad/story-e6frea83-1226615905834 But have you seen the traffic at that intersection in peak hour? The driver could have read Wa...

[COM] Re: U/C: Adelaide Oval Redevelopment | 53,500 | $545m
For the media centre. Um. Media centre blocking the view from the floor to ceiling glass walled dining room. Surely not. Unless the SMA version of "Media Centre" just is a bunch of desks for the hacks to plug their laptops and other devices into? I thought the Media Centre was going to be...

Taken Friday 12 April2013: And something different going on at the front of the Members stand - AFL interchange benches etc perhaps? http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii77/kaseydutchy/construction%20pictures/Adelaide%20Oval/members1_zps19951a0e.jpg I would suspect so. There would be no way the old...

Re: News & Discussion: Public Transport
Expect to see another round of timetable changes occuring later this month with Adelaide's 3 Bus Contractors. Details/timetables should be available in the next week! So the Light City Buses timetables will have row upon row of question marks ? 'cause if not I can't see any of their bus drive...

And Elizabeth, which eventually became Myer, but could possibly go back to being Harris Scarfe next year when Myer moves out.pushbutton wrote:That's what happened at Arndale, except Harris Scarfe moved into John Martins not David Jones

Re: News & Discussion: MetroCard System
Funnily enough I now have more sympathy for the Victorian government and the idea of smart cards only as a transport ticket or at least having a ticket before you enter a public transport vehicle. Nope, nobody likes the Victorian MyKi card-only system, it's just designed to rip off visitors and for...

[COM] Re: SWP: Torrens Footbridge | $40m
Maybe we can all go down to Waymouth Street and picket the outside of the Advertiser complaining about crap sensationalist journalism about non issues ie the protests about the bridge. Now that would make an interesting article! Could make it a nude protest - now THAT will get their attention...

Re: Port Adelaide | Developments & News
That Woolworths was horrible anyway. It didn't even have a proper deli section! Wasn't it a Franklins conversion when Woolies and Foodland bought out Franklins in the early 2000's, hence it being so small and lacking in basic supermarket facilities. The old Colonnades Woolies was just as bad before...

Re: U/C: Adelaide Airport Carpark & Pedestrian Plaza
The thing with the gum trees though it's going to take years for them to grow to a decent level, and who knows if they don't redevelop the area again before then.
Having said that, it doesn't look too bad.

Wasn't Arndale originally a shopping centre chain name itself - Marion also being another 'Arndale' when it first opened.

[U/C] Re: ONH: Tea Tree Plaza Upgrade | $190m
Hopefully we'll see some progress on this soon. I recon the last TTP upgrade (when K-Mart etc was built) was back in 1991. It's long overdue 1997/98 was when K-Mart & Coles were built. Big W & Woolworths were built back in 1991. Not sure when BigW & Woolworths were built, but the expans...

[U/C] Re: ONH: Tea Tree Plaza Upgrade | $190m
I first remember TTP from 1989. and both Big W and Woolworths were there then. There was also Myer, target, and where Harris Scarfe now is was an Arrow Superfoods (supermarket). The mall layout was more or less as it is now, but only went up as far as Target upstairs. Tea Tree Plus had not been bui...
