[U/C] Re: North-South Motorway

The plan says that the Pym St - Regency Rd section procurement starts early 2019 and runs until mid 2019. The planning & design starts and runs until the end of 2019. Construction starts at the beginning of 2020 and runs until mid 2022. So it is technically correct to say that it will srat in ea...

The DPTI 2022 Forward Work Plan https://dpti.sa.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0004/335533/Forward_Work_Plan_2022.pdf just released gives a start date for the Pym St - Regency Rd extension of early 2020 and finish of the Northern Connector as end 2019. But it also gives finish of the Darlington upgra...

That is not correct. Native grasses like all grasses, die off when not watered, require weeding and trimming. One of the greatest frauds in modern public landscaping is the prevalence of native grass, which is planted, then left to die, once everyone has forgotten who planted it, and who was respon...

I just checked the project design and 3D animation on the T2T website. No sign of any bus stops (or indents) in the plan so perhaps we dropped the ball in not spotting that problem earlier.

[U/C] Re: North-South Motorway

Twenty years ago, bus trips were slower than they are today. The vehicles' performance isn't much different to twenty years ago, but trip times have improved. How? A few technological innovations that mean buses spend less time at stops. These days, buses are low floor and most passengers pay by sm...

Was reading about the Pym to Regency upgrade and found some interesting info - https://www.infrastructure.sa.gov.au/nsc/regency_road_to_pym_street says: The concept design includes: Left in and left out only access at Pym Street whereas http://investment.infrastructure.gov.au/projects/ProjectDetail...

AIUI it would be unconstitutional for property to be acquired for below market value, yet you're the second person today I've encountered apparently claiming the government do so. Am I missing something? Actually, it's only unconstitutional for the Commonwealth Government to acquire property other ...

Here's hoping the Government get serious about extending the Port River Expressway to Montague Road and converting McIntyre Road into a freeway through to at least Elizabeth via the reservation that still exists that bypasses Golden Grove. New M9 and M3? As far as I can see there is no reservation ...

Don't really know where to put this, but out of curiosity, has there been anything stopping the upgrade of the Salisbury highway to meet the standard of the PREXY and then merging it to make one expressway? I know that a lot of it's traffic will dissipate with the opening of the Northern Connector ...

[U/C] Re: North-South Motorway

I rode through the T2T this morning. The rollercoasters nature of the freeway is very obvious when you ride it on a bike. There is a major rise in the lowered motorway between Hawker Street and Torrens Road with a lesser rise between the outer harbour railway line and Hawker Street. I can only assum...

Re: News & Discussion: Trams

As they have cancelled the North Adelaide extension, does this not mean that the line to the Festival Theatre is a waste of money? It doesn't take Adelaide Oval patrons any closer to the main entrance than the stop at Adelaide Railway Station (545m v 560m). What is has done is cause traffic jams on ...
