[COM] Re: Adelaide Oval Redevelopment - General Discussion Thread
How ridiculous, well here's the article on the National's side match at Adelaide Oval in June. Really highlights how it would be a backward step to block the redevelopment: Socceroos back at the Adelaide Oval after 53 years Val Migliaccio From: The Advertiser March 09, 2011 12:00AM THE Socceroos are...

[COM] Re: Adelaide Oval Redevelopment - General Discussion Thread
Some exciting news, I just received a text message from a friend saying that a Serbia v Australia soccer match has been announced for Adelaide oval in June! Can I suggest that even if you hate soccer with a passion buy a ticket and go to the match, we need to make sure this is a sell out in the hope...

Ok so I've finally got 5 minutes to say that I spoke with my cousin and he said that as far as he understood t...

Completely randomly I just found out my cousin from melbourne is an engineer on this project. Having dinner with him tonight so I'll have to pick his brain about it. Weird.
I should say, anything anyone wants to know?

Well done Mikey and Foiley!!! :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: Hang on, firstly the article is hyped and sensatinalistic and all it is really saying is that through the company's own incompentence THEY have lost THEIR profit on the project. Re: NBN News & Updates
I need to keep away from this thread, lest I get on my high-horse about the NBN and its delightful vindication of the stereotypical spend-a-thon model of the Labor Party. Yes. Labor buys everything. The Libs sell everything. Is there a party that doesn't take either extreme? And the bigger question...

good post amused. Id say 99% of the save RAH/opposed to new hospital are devout Liberal party followers from the burbs who oppose anything the govt not of their choice proposes. But this doesn't mean a new hospital is needed. Refurbishing and upgrading the existing hospital could achieve the same results for far less money. Is this true though? Let's say that it is true and let's assume a refurb costs half as much so $850mil, how long before it would cease to be adequate t...

Why single rooms/suites? Cross infection is the first thing, and this tends to happen with single room facilities as well. Each room having its own bathroom however will go a long way to cut down on the potential for cross infection as the existing quota is about 8 patients to a toilet. Single room...

Re: Ian Smith: It's a shame Adelaide is crumbling.
I read this article when it was originally published and sadly agreed with all of it. At the risk of being labelled a "troll" (which I have been unfairly accused of before and is a term thrown around on here a little too liberally for my liking), this article is spot on. Will's initial re...

I'm as much a proponent for good design as the next guy, but I think we have to accept that if we want to see the city's population boom we're going to need a bunch more apartment towers and not all of them will be architectural superstars. So when a relatively inoffensive if not pleasing design li...
