[VIS] Re: New inner-city stadium
Not sure how any of that fits the brief for an inner city stadium to enhance the existing riverside precincts. What brief for an inner city stadium to enhance the riverside precincts? As far as I'm aware no decision has been made, and there's no specified intention of where they want to build a new...

[VIS] Re: New inner-city stadium
The problem with putting a stadium in the Southern Parklands is that public transport connections to the site are poor. For a low-controversy solution, one of the ovals in Park 25 (the area in Port Rd, Glover Rd and West Terrace) could be converted to a stadium. That's not a bad idea. Wouldn't be h...

[VIS] Re: New inner-city stadium
If an arena is timed to be complete first, build a new football/soccer stadium on ETSA Park and tie in a relocated Mile End train station plus touted tramline to Adelaide Airport, or alternatively, you have the Entertainment Centre site which has tramline access and nearby trainline access. There i...

[VIS] Re: New inner-city stadium
Yesterday SA Treasurer Rob Lucas has confirmed that because of falling GST revenues, as a result of COVID-19, long term projects that they had not committed to or funded like the 1.3b inner city sports stadium would not be affordable in the immediate future.

[U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway
drove through Darlington today and finally those traveling south that don't wish to continue onto the SEXY can cut out 5 sets of lights. I was impressed as I thought there was nothing in it for us non expressway users. in the meantime I'll continue to dream about an entry/exit at major's road which...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Buses
I would hope they are trialing a bus that is capable of doing more than 30 KPH up the 10 degree slope of the northern end of Flagstaff Road. This would mean motorists may not be tempted to unsafely merge on this steep gradient. There is a commitment for an extra lane for this road which is good but...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Buses
I rode one of the new buses last week; it was the 8am or so G21F from Aberfoyle Hub to the City, and even still had the new car smell inside. How we got one on that route I don't know. I've seen a regular few on Flagstaff Road running the Aberfoyle Hub routes across the past two months. I would hop...

[COM] Re: Northern Connector | 14km | $1b
when traveling north why is it that when you go from the superway onto the new road near the port river expressway it goes from 3 lanes to 2 then back to 3 again?? who designed that?? I noticed this a while ago from some of the drone footage but wasn't sure if this was the final configuration. The ...
